From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, and the level of care and service was outstanding. The location is simply breathtaking. Perched above Sri Lanka’s highest village, the views stretch endlessly over rolling farmland, where highland vegetables grow in neat rows, and behind the cabin lies a dense forest, home to local wildlife. Watching the landscape change with the light was magical. The cabin itself is a dream—spacious, spotless, beautifully designed, and instantly inviting. You arrive, take a deep breath, and feel at home. Everything is well-maintained, and you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into every detail. What really stood out was the hospitality. Not only were we looked after with great care, but even our guide/driver was well accommodated. The owner was always there with a smile, ready to help, even suggesting a beautiful hiking route and making sure we were set up for a great walk. A personal highlight: my partner’s birthday fell during our stay, and to our surprise, she was gifted a beautiful birthday cake—a gesture that truly made the day extra special. We also dined at the cabin, and it was one of the best meals we had in Sri Lanka. The owner and his wife clearly have a passion for good food, and it was a pleasure to taste it. Communication was seamless from the start, with quick and easy WhatsApp contact, making everything effortless. Cabin 7000ft is more than just a stay—it’s a special place that lingers in your memory long after you leave. Highly, highly recommended!

Castlereigh Reservoir Seaplane Base Airport is 47 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. The staff is great, super kind and helpful. The hotel is a really small boutique hotel, with a personal touch and a lot of attention to the details. It was our anniversary and they surprised us with a beautiful cake and sweets, it was truly amazing experience. The place is very clean and well organized, breakfast is the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far.

The rooms are clean, the food is very good and the views are great. This is the place to stay in Hatton! Uncle and Asmita are very kind, and helped us with all our plans during our stay. The lodge offers an American or Asian breakfast. The owners went out of their way to make me feel at home immediately. Their attention to detail and communication was excellent. The space heater and drinking water were a nice touch. Loved the view, the classy cabin vibes, the location- right across from the lake! The breakfast was seriously the best I've had in my entire time in Sri Lanka! Nothing but love for this spot and this family. BOHOMA STUTHI!!!

Priyanga was very kind and helpful, he cooked us the best meals that offered some variety from what ate on our trip, gave us good tips and helped us organise our next activity. He even preprared some homemade medicine for a sore throat! We are really grateful to have had him as our host, we will always remember his hospitality. Greetings to you, Priyanga! The house‘s location is a 10/10, less than a 15 min drive from the Adam‘s Peak start and is surrounded by a great landscape, especially in comparison to Dalhousie (where the hike starts), so it‘s really worth the short ride.

The property has quiet street views and is 3.4 km from Gregory Lake and 10 km from Hakgala Botanical Garden. The property features barbecue facilities. The place is really awesome and one of a kind. The weather is chilly as hell but you can have the barbeque lit and warm yourself. The owners are really cool and friendly. We had a great time with them. I honestly recommend this place if you want to have the best of experience in Nuwara Eliya.
