Melford Nuwara Eliya is a beautifully maintained gem right beside the historic sluice gate of Lake Gregory. The architecture and interiors exude classic colonial charm—tastefully designed with elegant wooden floors, strong vintage-style beds, and lovely canopy curtains that echo a bygone era. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped. The bathroom had great water pressure, a powerful exhaust fan, and instant hot water—everything worked perfectly. The balcony opened to a serene view of the lake, adding to the peaceful ambiance. A small garden near the reception with chairs on request made for an ideal place to relax in the crisp mountain air. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the outstanding hospitality. The owner and staff were incredibly polite, warm, and attentive. They were always just a call away—offering tea and coffee generously, letting us use their kitchen, and always welcoming us with genuine smiles. I have stayed in many hotels across Asia, but it is rare to find such sincere and caring service. Highly recommended for a quiet, comfortable stay with exceptional hospitality.

This property offers access to a balcony and free private parking.... The location is nice, though a bit far from the center; however, it is very peaceful, with no noise or disturbances. Highly recommended for travelers who appreciate peace of mind. The cottage’s design is also very charming

Set in Nuwara Eliya and only 1.4 km from Gregory Lake, Rustique Lodge offers accommodation with lake views, free WiFi and free private parking. The lodge has a flat-screen TV. The owners went out of their way to make me feel at home immediately. Their attention to detail and communication was excellent. The space heater and drinking water were a nice touch. Loved the view, the classy cabin vibes, the location- right across from the lake! The breakfast was seriously the best I've had in my entire time in Sri Lanka! Nothing but love for this spot and this family. BOHOMA STUTHI!!!

We loved the decoration of the place (was colorful and fun) and the gorgeous views! Everything was spotlessly clean - even the little aquarium (that’s right, you’ll share your space with 3 beautiful goldfish). Strong wifi connection, and close to the main road (yet you’ll only hear bird songs).

Priyanga was very kind and helpful, he cooked us the best meals that offered some variety from what ate on our trip, gave us good tips and helped us organise our next activity. He even preprared some homemade medicine for a sore throat! We are really grateful to have had him as our host, we will always remember his hospitality. Greetings to you, Priyanga! The house‘s location is a 10/10, less than a 15 min drive from the Adam‘s Peak start and is surrounded by a great landscape, especially in comparison to Dalhousie (where the hike starts), so it‘s really worth the short ride.

The Mount Lodge er með fjallaútsýni og býður upp á gistirými með verönd, í um 12 km fjarlægð frá Hakgala-grasagarðinum. We loveddd this place, quiet place with an AMAZING view of the waterfall from the upstairs bedroom, food was good and place is super quite and very cosy.

Daresh home stay er með garði og er staðsett í Maskeliya, 18 km frá Hatton-lestarstöðinni og 35 km frá Thalawakele-lestarstöðinni. Nice helpfull host tip - visit nice Shiva temple nearby with good view. Tastefull dinner and breakfast are offered. For outside meal - Butterfly restaurant is quite expensive, but with the best lake and Sri Pada view

Townside Lodge er nýlega enduruppgert sumarhús sem er vel staðsett í miðbæ Nuwara Eliya og býður upp á ókeypis WiFi, garð og ókeypis einkabílastæði fyrir gesti sem koma akandi. It is a very nice house, we had a really good night playing Carrom! The hosts are so nice and they brought us breakfast in the morning :)
