Our stay at Rock Shade Chalet was a truly amazing one. The ambience was super special. The facilities are of high standards. The environment was very calm. A lot of birds, including peacocks, were in the garden. Lasantha is a very nice person. He was always attentive to our requirements. They made special meals at our request.

A spacious room. The breakfast was good and substantial. Sadeepa, the hosts' son, helped me a lot. He advised on the walks up both Pidurangala and Sigiriya Rocks. As he had a tuk tuk it was easy to get to each of the Rocks to do a sunrise walk. He kindly came early in the morning to pick me up and charged a fair rate. Sadeepa also helped me to get my laundry done and was a great help, which made my stay very easy and pleasant.

The place is still under construction but that didn't bother us. We had a great time. Breakfast was very good and the host very kind with good recommendations.
