New place to stay, everything inside is new. There was a fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle (with sugar, tea, coffee), blender, gas stove, a full set of dishes, hair dryer, and even an iron with ironing board. Very good lighting. The apartment is spacious, with comfortable beds and pillows. There’s a water heater in the shower. Lots of windows — on one side you see the road, on the other side greenery (feels like you're living in the jungle). It was quiet, even though it's near the road. There is parking. Cafes and shops are nearby. Hiriketiya Beach is 1 km away (about a 10-minute walk). P.S. If you stay in this apartment, please keep it clean and tidy. There’s not much good housing in Sri Lanka, and other people will come after you. As a suggestion to the owners. To make your place even better, please add shower gel and shampoo 😀

Best value for money so far in Sri Lanka. Great location by the river. We saw some tree snakes, peacocks and chipmunks. Nice balcony to chill on with breakfast. Air con was perfect and adjustable. Nice towels.

A fridge, a minibar and stovetop are also provided, as well as a kettle. our absolute favorite stay in sri lanka! we kept extending it because oh we loved it so much. 1. the place is ideally located between dickwella and hiriketiya. close to the main road but far enough to be quiet! (important for us) 2. the room is extremely clean and well-thought out. very beautifully decorated with so much love and attention to detail. we had everything needed and couldn’t ask for more really. having our own kitchen was a huge plus and you can also do your laundry here. 3. the host Dasitha is one of the nicest (if not the nicest) person we’ve ever met. he was so patient and humble and truly cared about our experience…! very welcoming and friendly. great communication too. made our stay so special. helped us a lot in all possible aspects of our travel. feeling very grateful we decided to stay there and meet him. 4. the space: there’s a quiet outdoor area with sunbeds. we loved it! 5. unbeatable value for the price.! we couldn’t wish for a better accommodation! can’t recommend enough and look forward to coming back. thank you so much Dasitha!

Offering garden views, Charming dark lodge in river is an accommodation situated in Weligama, 2.7 km from Weligama Beach and 31 km from Galle International Cricket Stadium. This was the best stay in our whole trip (3months). Everything is just perfect. The family is so nice and helpful with everything. Location is next to the river and it is very quiet. The room is so big and just perfect with small kittchen. You can find many beautiful details and it is very cozy. They surprised us few times with some sweets and one morning they served us their breakfast. We love their dog 🐕
