It’s run by a lovely couple and their young son. They are so hospitable and friendly. The lodge is set in idyllic location by a waterfall v peaceful in nature. There are only 3 rooms which are immaculate and have all amenities. The food is amazing breakfast and dinner so healthy plentiful and so v tasty. They arrange all treks and trips so everything is easy even the leech socks. We did a day rain forest trek and half day village waterfall and temple trip seeing all the rural village life. Definitely recommend and hope to return some day

(important for us) 2. the room is extremely clean and well-thought out. very beautifully decorated with so much love and attention to detail. we had everything needed and couldn’t ask for more really. having our own kitchen was a huge plus and you can also do your laundry here. 3. the host Dasitha is one of the nicest (if not the nicest) person we’ve ever met. he was so patient and humble and truly cared about our experience…! very welcoming and friendly. great communication too. made our stay so special. helped us a lot in all possible aspects of our travel. feeling very grateful we decided to stay there and meet him. 4. the space: there’s a quiet outdoor area with sunbeds. we loved it! 5. unbeatable value for the price.! we couldn’t wish for a better accommodation! can’t recommend enough and look forward to coming back. thank you so much Dasitha!

Charming Darklodge in river er staðsett í Weligama, 2,7 km frá Weligama-ströndinni og 31 km frá Galle International Cricket Stadium. Boðið er upp á grillaðstöðu og garðútsýni. So many good things to say, just a few of them: - any needs are addressed and help is provided quickly, - nice family that tries to provide everything for your comfortable stay, - apartment is totally stunning, great design and facilities are well-equipped, - kitchen has everything you need for cooking on a daily basis, - clean room and bathroom, cozy blanket and beautiful wall paintings drawn by owner himself, wi-fi is acceptable, very good AC + fan, - you can see a lot of wild life since the house is in the jungle area (monkeys, chipmunks, many birds, river with crocodiles), - calm environment for quality rest, far from noisy roads, (exception - night from saturday to sunday), - room clean up every few days, - bike/bicycle rental and water delivery upon request for additional fee Overall, it's an amazing place to stay, I was carefully choosing and comparing many places in the similar price range in Weligama, and this one was the best option even though it's a bit far from city. You can totally go for it, won't regret!!!!!!!!!!!❤️
