Raiatea sur Mer has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Opoa. Beyond expectations. Quiet, spacious and very comfortable bungalow. Direct access to the water, where swim, snorkeling and kayaking just await! Everything is well thought, both functional and "solid". The hosts are very generous with their food, boating, and hospitality in general, including planning trips and such. You need a vehicle (or can rent theirs). I had rented a scooter in town and enjoyed this particular corner of the island.

This was one of the best accommodations I stayed in. It's an extremely clean, beautiful cozy small house in a really peaceful part of the island. The property itself is amazing with a great pool and amazing view, the owners are very helpful and nice. I would recommend it and would like to come again. Just keep in mind that you need a car or scooter because it's not close to the airport but it's a more interesting area than Uturoa.

Incredible property, easy and private ocean access. Long private beach with large shallow pool in front for swimming. Snorkeling just beyond that. Kayaks provided for paddle to public atol (motu) nearby. Lots of Snorkeling around the motu as well. Owner met us at airport with rental car. Owner gave a book full of local tourism information, restaurant recommendations, etc. She spent an hour with us getting us settled in and oriented. The home is perfectly maintained and spotless clean. Fresh flowers everywhere. Well appointed kitchen, super bathroom with big walk-in shower. Very comfortable bed. A/C works great. This is a great find.

L'Auberge Polynésienne has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Tevaitoa. There is a private entrance at the chalet for the convenience of those who stay.

Set in Uturoa, Rupe Rupe Lodge offers accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning and access to a garden with a terrace. There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. Very clean and quiet. The hosts were great. They drove us to a restaurant when we arrived late and there was only a few restaurants open, gave us their number to call them to pick us up.

It was a fantastic location on the island and within a bikes ride (provided with the property) to the main town. Kayaks were also provided so we’re able to reach the small island of Ofetaro easily enough for snorkeling and swimming!
