Everything was as expected and described and clean, and the included breakfast and water/coffee is a nice touch. What sets this place apart, however, are the owners. The couple is incredibly generous, friendly, and helpful and they made my stay excellent instead of just good. I recommend Alec Lodge if you find yourself looking for a reasonable stay in Coron!

I stayed for just 2 days and 1 night, but it was unforgettable. The hilltop chalet was peaceful, clean, and comfortable, with a breathtaking view of Mount Kallyas. Just a short 2-minute walk from Coron High Street, the location was ideal. It is close to restaurants and coffee shops, yet quiet and relaxing. The local family hosting us were incredibly kind and helpful. They arranged trips and even drove me to the beach and snorkeling spots. Truly the warmest people I met in the Philippines. I would absolutely stay again. I am hoping they are not fully booked next time!
