Excellent location, just in front of the beach, which is very important for Zanzibar, as you don't want to walk through local's houses to reach the beach, good breakfast, good coffee, staff was really friendly and was trying to help with anything.

I had such a fantastic experience staying at Paje Emerald Escapes! The villas are absolutely beautiful—peaceful, well-designed, and a true slice of paradise. But what truly made the stay unforgettable was the incredible staff. A huge thank you to Leslie, who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. From arranging airport transfers to organizing tuk-tuk shuttles, she was constantly helpful, professional, and incredibly sweet. Her kindness really made me feel at home. I’d also love to give a special shoutout to Salim for helping me out when a few geckos made their way into the villa. He came over right away, was extremely helpful, and so kind throughout. I would absolutely stay here again—not just for the stunning villas, but because the people here genuinely care. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Paje!

With sea views, MONKEY MOUNTAIN LODGE is situated in Mtende and has a restaurant, luggage storage space, bar, garden and terrace. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Monkey Mountain Lodge has great location with stunning views over the green forest and blue ocean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is delicious. Mattress and pillows are very comfortable and better than in many hotels. And beautiful red colobus monkeys added the final pitch to our stay.
