The property was amazing, what you would expect for a "glamping" experience. We had our privacy as the rooms aren't in close proximity to each other. Amazing waking up in the morning and the wildlife passes by your room.

Featuring a hot tub, AfriCamps at Gowan Valley is located in Balgowan. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. Friendly and helpful staff lots of family friendly activities on the property. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub and pool.

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Highbourne Cottages is a recently renovated chalet situated in Winterton, 10 km from Monks Cowl Country Club. We stayed at Protea Cottage, which is well-equipped and comfortable. It's located at the end of the R600, near the entrance to Monk's Cowl area of the Drakensberg. You can access many nice trails directly from the cottage. The view from the porch is glorious, especially at sunset. Cathkin Park is a great location, and we easily filled our 6 days there. We went ziplining, hiking, swimming in the streams, horseback riding at uShaka, and saw the Falcon Ridge Bird of Prey show. We unfortunately missed whitewater rafting and the Boys Choir show. Leslie communicated thoroughly ahead of time about check-in and other details so there were no surprises. We also loved that it was off the grid, but with the solar panels, who noticed? The kitchen had all the necessary items, including a camp toaster and a French press for coffee. Lindsey and Brett don't live on site, but they stopped by a couple of times, and they were friendly and helpful. Their caretakers were there daily and kept everything in good order.

Set on the banks of the Tugela River, 22 km north of Winterton, Tugela River Lodge features self-catering accommodation 13 km from Spioenkop Nature Reserve and 22 km from Winterton Museum. We loved this location - quaint, comfortable, and welcoming. The setting and the cabin were fabulous. Julian, our host was great. The cabin had everything we needed. It was clean and roomy, and the beds were comfortable. The wood-heated hot tub was fun. Guest could rent bikes, buy firewood, and 'shop' in the farm stall for fresh eggs, honey, wonderful homemade freezer meals, and much more There are several trails right out the front door that enable you to hike or mountain bike to a reserve with zebras and giraffes. We all wished we could have stayed longer! Thanks Julian!

Situated in Underberg in the KwaZulu-Natal region, Birches Cottage & the Willows Garden Room features accommodation with free private parking. Amazing nature around, great garden to chill and a lot to explore in the garden, the accomodation is very spacious and you have everything you need for cooking. Very warm hosts, we really enjoyed our time there and highly recommend it!We had a lovely time!

Featuring a bar, Greenfire Drakensberg Lodge is located in Kruisfontein. The property is solar powered and offers Canadian-style log cabins. Very intimately remote, few cabins so small amount of guests. Jeremiah was a gem and packed us lunches for our hike and our drive the next morning. The hikes are breathtaking. Dinners were romantic, cozy, and delicious!
