Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. Just perfect! Just out in the bush everything was clean and comfortable. The most friendly staff and a good kitchen. Great hiking possibilities as well to enjoy nature. They are building a new restaurant and will turn parts of the old restaurant/bar into rooms. Just hope they keep some parts of the current restaurant for a drink since it has the most beautiful views!

Ever heard of Nieu-Bethesda, the owl house? We were very pleased to eventually visit Nieu-Bethesda, even more so when we arrived at Furrows Lodge. The room (outside) was spacious and well equipped. The setting is in and amongst trees, tranquil. Swimming pool and braai facilities are also available. Try "Die Waenhuis" Restaurant for a meal (part of Furrows Lodge). Everything is within walking distance. Highly recommended.

The lodge is equipped with a double bed, a working desk, a wardrobe, a kitchen and a bathroom. We especially liked the incredible view from the terrace. Ingrid was an amazing host, she was very caring and helpful. She booked great tours in the reserves around the area for us.
