By the Persian Gulf, Sharjah is the capital of the emirate of the same name – the only one in the UAE to have a coastline on 2 gulfs.
Although not as internationally famous as its neighbour Dubai, Sharjah still has an exciting mix of old and new. The skyline is a backdrop of skyscrapers and many modern public buildings were designed by the ruling sheikh.
In sharp contrast is the Sharjah Heritage Area, the city’s oldest part. Here historic houses line pedestrian streets boasting some of the best museums, including the excellent Islamic Museum. On its northern edge is 19th-century Al Hisn Fort, an Arabic-style building once home to the ruling family.
Shopping in Sharjah is as big as in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Its shopping centres include Ansar Mall and Mega Mall, while a more traditional experience can be found in Souk al-Arsah and the Blue Souk, so called because of its blue tiles and roof. Across the park is King Faisal Mosque, a gift from the Saudi king.

Sharjah is good for travelers who would like to visit Dubai and stay in cheaper options. There are very good food options for all the nationalities. I will definitely stay long again when I get a chance.

I did not stay in the property for even a single night.
I did not stay in the property for even a single night. Upon arrival, I was met with an unbearable and unhygienic smell that made the apartment completely unlivable. I immediately returned the keys at check-in.
Because of this, I was forced to secure alternative accommodation at additional personal expense, through no fault of my own.
Despite the situation being reported immediately, neither the property owner nor Booking.com has provided any refund whatsoever. This is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of responsibility and customer care.
I feel cheated, ignored, and taken advantage of by both the owner and Booking.com. The handling of this issue has been extremely unprofessional, and I am demanding a full and immediate resolution.

Sharjah adjoins Dubai in the UAE but there is no interconnecting public transport so you must rely on taxis (more expensive) or Uber (better choice). People in Sharjah were quite friendly, more so than Dubai although again people were not unfriendly. While there are some interesting sites to visit, it is not as grand or varied as Dubai. That said, Dubai not that special either!
Not somewhere I'll be rushing back to, but if there had not been a conference to attend, I probably wouldn't have gone there in the first place.

The lagooon area in Sharjah was fantastic and shops are everywhere at very good prices. There are lagoon cruises organized for 30-60 minutes in the evening, very good I recommend. The Lagoon promenade is fantastic... Enjoy

Well starting from the check-in process it was a smooth experience it was done really quickly and then the breakfast part that I enjoyed most. The professionalism of the staff that have a sense of humor and very friendly mostly Mr.Saleh that made my stay a great one,

A great place to visit specially when it comes to food, shopping and visiting places of interest. A very nice less crowded and very advance and clean airport. I would definitely visit again with more time to spare. All the shops, malls and amenities are close by. You can walk along the streets to visit these places. Very homely feel. Excellent road infrastructure connecting major roads and motorways. Amazing food options and restaurants and cafes everywhere.

Exceeded my expectations, everything was so clean and well maintained even better than some hotels i have stayed during previous visits. It was a 5star bedspace. The host was very professional and a true gentleman who patiently helped me out even though i arrived in the middle of the night. Will definitely be staying here on my next trips and recommend to all those who are looking for a clean and fresh space on a budget. It cannot get better than this, truly worth every penny!!

The property is located conveniently opposite Sahara mall with all the food options. Easy access to Dubai.
The rooms are very clean and comfortably furnished.
Parking available in hotel parking lot.
The staff is excellent. Right from the reception team, to the lobby staff, room service and cleaning staff, all are very polite, efficient and helpful.
Special thanks to Joan, Mohamed and Mehedi at reception. Also Peter in lobby.
One of the best properties in Sharjah.
