Out of the Desert and Into the Future

By the Persian Gulf, Sharjah is the capital of the emirate of the same name – the only one in the UAE to have a coastline on 2 gulfs.

Although not as internationally famous as its neighbor Dubai, Sharjah still has an exciting mix of old and new. The skyline is a backdrop of skyscrapers and many modern public buildings were designed by the ruling sheikh.

In sharp contrast is the Sharjah Heritage Area, the city’s oldest part. Here historic houses line pedestrian streets featuring some of the best museums, including the excellent Islamic Museum. On its northern edge is 19th-century Al Hisn Fort, an Arabic-style building once home to the ruling family.

Shopping in Sharjah is as big as in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Its shopping centers include Ansar Mall and Mega Mall, while a more traditional experience can be found in Souk al-Arsah and the Blue Souk, so called because of its blue tiles and roof. Across the park is King Faisal Mosque, a gift from the Saudi king.

    Well starting from the check-in process it was a smooth experience it was done really quickly and then the breakfast part that I enjoyed most. The professionalism of the staff that have a sense of humor and very friendly mostly Mr.Saleh that made my stay a great one, Hope to see you soon and I would recommend everyone to try it out.

    A great place to visit specially when it comes to food, shopping and visiting places of interest. A very nice less crowded and very advance and clean airport. I would definitely visit again with more time to spare. All the shops, malls and amenities are close by. You can walk along the streets to visit these places. Very homely feel. Excellent road infrastructure connecting major roads and motorways. Amazing food options and restaurants and cafes everywhere.

    Sharjah is an incredible blend of culture, tradition, and modernity—a city that truly took us by surprise! From the beautifully preserved heritage areas to the stunning museums and art galleries, every corner of Sharjah tells a story. The city is peaceful, clean, and family-friendly, with a calm charm that sets it apart from the more fast-paced neighboring cities. We especially loved walking along the Al Majaz Waterfront and exploring the Heart of Sharjah—both rich with culture and beauty. Sharjah is also a paradise for art and history lovers. The Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization and the Sharjah Art Museum are absolute must-visits. The local people were welcoming and respectful, and we felt safe and comfortable throughout our visit.     Sharjah is a wonderful place for me and my family. There are many attractions that can be visited during your stay in Sharjah. This includes Sharjah’s historic downtown, which offers a glimpse into the emirate’s rich cultural heritage. Additionally, places like Kalba and Khor Fakkan provide stunning natural scenery and outdoor activities. Kalba is known for its beautiful beaches and wildlife sanctuaries, making it a great spot for nature lovers. Khor Fakkan, on the other hand, is famous for its breathtaking mountains and waterfalls, perfect for hiking and sightseeing.     I liked the wide variety of tasty dishes, especially during the New Year celebration in the backyard of the hotel. I want to notice the hospitality and attention of the staff in a good way. There were also lots of benefits: transfer to Dubai and the beach, sauna, and pool. The travel consultant helped me find a thrilling tour. The breakfast time was extraordinarily convenient. I had even scales in my room.

    Everything was so perfect and extremely awesome stay with comfort. This hotel is just in center and every part of sharjah is easily accessible, also it's very near to Dubai and Public transport is available at ease. Rooms are awesome, Clean and property is well maintained. Staff is very good and polite. We enjoyed our 20 days stay at this property and it feel like home.
