United KingdomWe had an excellent experience at Nolea hotel, everything was great, the hotel is very clean and beautifully designed, breakfast was good, walking distance to the beach, the pool is great for both parents and children, but the best thing about this place was the staff which was all very friendly, welcoming and helpful all the time.

Out of season there is really nothing to do in the city and...
Out of season there is really nothing to do in the city and we cam in the beginning of October. 95% of shops and restaurants are closed and kids have nothing to do int he are of the town. I believe that in the season this place is very lively, but we have not experienced that ourselves.

It was the first time to be in Velipoje.
It was the first time to be in Velipoje. It's not a big city but I am positively surprised. The Velipoja beach (where we were placed) was clean, the water was so clear and warm. The kids part with the toys at the center of the city was excellent. The food was good tasted, fresh and the staff was very polite.

The hotel is close to the beach, which was great.
The hotel is close to the beach, which was great. The pool was small but clean, and my son really enjoyed it. Breakfast was OK, and there are small shops nearby, along with parking available.
I would have rated this 5 stars if it weren't for one issue: the cooking utensils.
If you plan to book an apartment, I recommend bringing your own cooking pans, or you’ll be disappointed.

The gentle, clear waters provide peace of mind, while the abundance of space allows for fun-filled beach activities. With its unique health benefits, budget-friendly options, and an array of engaging experiences, Velipoja Beach is an ideal destination where families can create cherished memories and relish in the natural beauty of North Albania.
There are plenty of bars, restaurants to visit during each time of the day by the beach. My favorite places to eat are "Familja", "Ada Vilun", "Eja", "407", "Lamaroja".
Velipoja is easy to reach, 30 min from the biggest northern Albanian city, Shkoder as such worth the visit if you want to just spend some beach days or if you're planning to visit the city as well as mountaints which are 1-2 hours away from Shkoder.

I visited Velipojë at the beginning of May, when the season was just about to begin. This means, I was all alone (in the hotel, on the beach, on the streets).
Unfortunately, the amount of garbage that comes in from the Buna river delta makes the wild, unkept beach almost a hazard to walk through. Maybe it is nicer during full season, when terrace owners are in charge of cleaning the beach up.
There is a nice promenade along the beach and quite a trek to the Buna delta. The beach is black sand.
