Provided lots of information on the region, including restaurants, things to do, places to visit etc. Rooms were clean and comfortable. High quality materials and great comfort in all areas. And the SPA - we were amazed by the spa and the pools! Never expected such a great relax and spa zone. You have access to a spa bar, calm relax zone, and as many towers as you might need! This was the first time I was not supposed to ask for a dry towel. Also, the breakfast was delicious - great variety and good food quality. Nearby, there is an Italian restaurant - a must visit for dinner. Last but not least - free parking, e-charging station and private lake! And the lake! Wow, such a beauty! 10/10 and this is the first time I am giving such a rating on booking!

FinlandCame to Salzburg to celebrate a birthday and go see all the Sound of Music locations, which was possible with this home! The stay is located in a quaint, peaceful area where you can wake up and go for a nice walk and enjoy beautiful views of the mountains right from the property. Usually not a morning person at all, but we found ourselves having a morning walk at 7am every single morning during our stay because of how relaxing the area is. The German border is also a very short walk away from the house so if you want to be in two countries at once, you can do that at the bridge on the border!
It’s the perfect place to slow down and relax. I especially loved being so close to the local farmer’s markets - fresh produce, friendly people, and a real sense of community (though the language barrier was there.) The home itself was cozy, clean, and welcoming.
Regina was kind enough to leave us wine and decorations after hearing about us celebrating a 30th birthday, which made the stay even nicer and homey! Communication was always very clear, fast and friendly, never had any issues or worries. As much as the stay is a bit further out from the city, it's not at all difficult to use the buses to get there and back.
We enjoyed the stay so much we felt homesick even though we only stayed for 4 nights. A strong recommendation to stay at this home!

It is a residential town so not much atmosphere or amenities...
It is a residential town so not much atmosphere or amenities other than hotels. It suited us very well as it was very peaceful. Driving or taxi into Salzburg is the best option. Otherwise a bus or taxi to an out of town shopping centre plus a bus from there.
We parked out the out of town shopping centre for dinner and got a parking ticket. It was not well advertised that we should have paid for parking.
Nothing to do with the hotel but be warned!

The town is very small and cozy, but there is not much to do in Vals itself. I walked around all the beautiful places and the local church in an hour, but it is close to Salzburg and I really liked the Kamml Hotel, where I stayed for one night.

A small town in a great location, offering fantastic excursions in all directions. An exceptionally large number of excellent restaurants nearby. Its proximity to Salzburg and all its attractions is a real plus.

Unfortunately, we didn't see much of Wals as we arrived late...
Unfortunately, we didn't see much of Wals as we arrived late in the afternoon. Our hotel, with plenty of green space, was located on the outskirts of Wals. This was where our dog felt comfortable and was important to us. The hotel has a restaurant, and the food there is highly recommended.

Wals is located on the outskirts of Salzburg. The McArthurGlen designer outlet and the airport are about 3 km away. It takes approximately 15 minutes by car to reach the center of Salzburg. We did not test public transportation.

This is a beautiful hotel. It was easily accessible by bus from the centre of Salzburg. The food in the hotel was lovely with lots of choices for breakfast. We also found the prices in the restaurant to be reasonable. The room was spacious. The spa was beautiful and provided for a very relaxing stay. The staff provided us with a map for walking routes in the area and we had a lovely walk in the shadow of the snow capped mountains.

Beautiful hotel, attention to detail was exceptional my room had everything I needed and more. The quality of the fittings and everything provided in the room was very high. The breakfast was fantastic great selection and really good quality and healthy options. I felt extremely safe here as a solo traveller and shall certainly return.
