SlovakiaA family owned guesthouse on top of the hill. The surrounding views are amazing. This place is just 15 min away from the highway but still very peaceful and calm. You can enjoy the silence and the starts at night. The owners are very kind and nice people. Our room was spacious with very comfy bed. The whole look of the room is a bit outdated, but everything looks good and works well. It was also clean. The food was amazing, as we were able to enjoy traditional Austrian dishes made with love and from fresh ingredients sourced from the local farm. Breakfast was mostly assortment of bread with cheese and ham, however, you can always ask for extra bits like fresh eggs cooked to your preference for a very reasonable price. This place is perfect to spend a couple of days and disconnect from big city life.

HungaryThe house is in a very nice location. You can park your car in front of the front door on the owner's family's property. We could admire the beautiful fallow deer and bees. Nice quiet area. With a large terrace, sauna. There is a bunk bed on the ground floor and a double bed on the first floor. The whole house is yours. There is also a microwave. In the house you can buy local products in a separate small room. Dog-friendly place!

We went there particularly to visit the site of Stalag XVIIIA. First stop, Lavanthaus Museum, which has display about the three camps on the site over time; also publication in German and English. (Museum also has interesting folk history of area.) Found stalag memorial at junction of Lagerstrasse and Sankt Thomasstrasse. Campsite is now industry and housing. Walked through on Lagerstrasse. Satisfied to have seen the site and area where Aussie father was POW for 4 years.
Memo to Wolfsberg: your street signage is woeful.

All tourists visit Vienna, Graz, and Salzburg, which are beautiful, of course. But Austria's true treasures are the small towns like Wolfsberg. Carinthia, in particular, has many very pretty ones.

You don't need to go to Wolfsbergen for sightseeing.
You don't need to go to Wolfsbergen for sightseeing. The Carinthia Card is limited in the surrounding area. It requires a 30-50 minute drive. Recommended attractions include Hochosterwitz Castle, Hutteberger Erzberg, Obir Tropfstein Caves, Pyramidenkogel, Abbey of Sant Paul in Lavanttal, and Landskron Castle.

The place itself is very beautiful, situated amidst nature.
The place itself is very beautiful, situated amidst nature. Unfortunately, all the restaurants were closed over Easter... it was very difficult to find a restaurant to get something to eat. Public transport is rather poor... only a few buses to the surrounding communities.

Guests from all over the world and a great sense of community. An ideal starting point for hikers, motorcyclists, and mountain bikers.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They really couldn’t do more to help. The café was busy every day, which says a lot about how popular it is, and the desserts both looked and tasted incredible. A genuinely warm and enjoyable place to stay. Highly recommended! Wolfsberg is a charming town with plenty of shops. It was my first time in Austria for business, but I would definitely love to come back on vacation

The room 15 looked amazing inside and the hotel was very clean and nice. Also The staff was very helpful and friendly, speaking so many languages to choose from :) The TV's were nice and quite modern, which is not always the case in such stays, that's a detail but not insignificant. Breakfast was very nice, lots of things to choose from and even a beer available, that's a first! Really like the homemade bread and spreads.

Amazing location - views are simply breathtaking, road that leads to this hotel is super picturesque. Staff was friendly, restaurant is very good. Schnitzel is definitely recommended choice. Breakfast was tasty and quite big. Perfect choice for one night pit-stop during the longer journey.

The driveway was covered with ice… a lot of ice. it was almost impossible to get there, we almost died. had to stop in the halfway and put the chains on, in the middle of the night. the hotel should have done anything about it. anything. At least inform about it
