FAQs about hotels in Adelaide

Adelaide: Australia's Undiscovered Gem

Scratch the surface of Australia’s undiscovered gem with its blend of wonderful beaches, wide boulevards and extensive parklands including the Adelaide Botanic Garden. The City of Churches chimes to the beat during festival season with the Adelaide Festival of Arts, Adelaide Fringe and WOMADelaide.

The River Torrens flows through the city from the surrounding Mount Lofty Ranges. The Adelaide Hills features The Cleland Conservation Park that includes a wildlife park where you can pat koalas and Mount Lofty Summit with its panoramic views of the city. Hahndorf, with its German history, is another highlight.

The coast has some fantastic beaches. Historic Glenelg is Adelaide’s favourite local playground and further south are the wide open shores of Aldinga where you can drive your car on to the beach.

There are few better multicultural markets than the Adelaide Central Market or choose from a host of marvellous museums and art galleries, some having free entry. The picturesque and historic Adelaide Oval is a favourite for sports lovers.

Booking.com has accommodation in the city or visit surrounding areas like the Barossa Valley, Flinders Ranges and Kangaroo Island.

We think Adelaide is fantastic.

We think Adelaide is fantastic. The Adelaide Market is a must for any visitor to enjoy a snack or meal. We hit the scooters for 90mins and had a great time getting to numerous attractions. The Popeye tour on the river Torrens was very entertaining and informative. Of course any cricket fan needs to get along to the Adelaide Oval (which we did). We would normally jump on a tram to get to Glenelg beach but due to roadworks, a bus was the chosen mode of transport. Indian restaurant, Jasmin is a must especially now it’s closing.

Staying in the cbd of Adelaide, although it was on the western fringe, it provides you every opportunity to walk, catch a bus or tram, or even choose to catch a train on the North Terrace. A plethora of opportunity to visit Adelaide and its many attractions without the hassle of needing a car.

I stayed in a central city hotel for my holiday and only at the atura because of an early flight. Adelaide is a beautiful city with museums, art galleries, rundle mall, the zoo and the great cafe culture in beautiful north adelaide. Also there's port adelaide and the adelaide hills to visit.

We experienced Adelaide as a clean, vibrant, well-managed city with lots of old world charm and new age facilities. Tourism and events seem to be thriving with lots to see and do - in the 7 days we were there, there was a volleyball world championship being held, Sheffield shield and BBLW cricket matches, and the V8 Super Car finals including a headline AC/DC concert. Throw in the surrounding Adelaide Hills, beaches, Barossa wineries, Riverlands etc and you are sure to find something to everyone's taste and interest. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Adelaide was nice.

Adelaide was nice. We did a lot of day trips so didn't really go into the city. Activities in and around West beach were great. Definitely recommend a trip to monarto. A day trip to Hahndorf is a must. We also went down to Victor Harbor and went to Granite island, absolutely beautiful

This hotel is in an amazing location in Adelaide's CBD, particularly if you are headed to an AFL or cricket match! We went for the Semi final between Hawthorn and the Crows and the hotel was only an 8 minute walk from Adelaide Oval. Moreover, the rooms were very affordable, and we were surprised by a buffet breakfast! There was also a small gym. Beds were comfy, bathroom clean etc.

The hotel's location is northwest of Adelaide CBD. Its close enough to the railway, casino and a few decent restaurants. A tram stop and bus stops are close by. George, who looks like the manager, is very helpful and knowledgeable. Kudos to the cleaning staff as well
