Wonderfully large suites, with roomy balcony. My room overlooked an inner courtyard, with lots of greenery. Right beside the airport, but zero aircraft noise between 22:30 and 06:00. Just 5 minutes walk from subway station, on very convenient downtown line. Full kitchen and laundry room, and huge living room.

Everything is excellent and I usually don't rate that high. Great location, lots of restaurants. Very quiet. Great breakfast included. The room and bathroom have a nice size. The price is great too compared to others. To get to CBD, central Sidney, you walk about 5-7 minutes to Train 1 or 9, or Metro. Within 15 minutes you are at city hall. It costs me 1 Australian dollar using T1,T9.

The view from the room was fantastic. We woke up every morning to see the bustling harbor, which was something new for us. The hotel was near to many great places to visit, and getting around was easy. Overall, it was great, we will definitely stay again next time we are in Sydney.

It was a beautiful city with a lot of great sites to visit and great food to try! I highly recommend making time for the beaches and beach walks, Bondi to Coogee especially! The trains are great for getting around, I only used public transportation during my whole stay.

I hate Sydney we only went as my wife had a medical procedure that required us to stay for a week. Sydney is an overcrowded craphole, there isn't a straight or flat road anywhere and there are speed cameras everywhere. As for people it dousn't feel like an Australian city you could be anywhere in the world except for the geography.

The city has character.

The city has character. You can transition from a very old part of the city like the rocks to a more modern suburb in a few blocks. If you plan ahead there are a lot of things you can do during your stay beyond the popular touristy attraction, a few god stand up comedy places around the city as well. Lot's of places to relax and grab a bite or go for midday stroll. Walking around Sydney is safe and easy. Navigating the city is quite easy given the familiar block style planning. The city closes down a little early, and getting a taxi might be challenging towards the night. Expect heavy traffic during the rush hours and plan your trips accordingly.

I was pleasantly surprised this trip to find nice people. Mostly I have found Sydneysiders to be unfriendly and VERY unhelpful to someone from a small country town who doesn't know the city. Must have been the hot weather or something.

Be very careful of taxi drivers and always sit in the front seat for better viewing of the metre. Because Mantra is close to the airport, some taxi are want to not take you but they have to. Just go to the next in line. I have paid between $84 and $35 for the same trip.

We very much enjoyed the Opera House Tour.

We very much enjoyed the Opera House Tour. The tour guide was passionate about this iconic architechtural masterpiece and shared a lot of information about it that I did not know! We also enjoyed the Taronga Zoo, a massive place, well laid out with a large variety of Australian and african animals, as well as sea lions, etc. We spent the day here and still did not see everything. We explored downtown Sydney and noted that this modern city is very clean!

This hotel is extremely well-located - close to the new light rail system and the train system (for the airport), shops, restaurants, the Royal Botanical Garden, the excellent art gallery, etc. - and just two light rail stops to Circular Quay (for the Opera House and the Rocks). It's a heritage hotel, and has so much more character than most modern hotels. We were also pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was, given its CBD location. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great location, easy walk to the harbor bridge and opera house, as well as Hyde Park, Pitt St mall etc. The hotel is lobby areas are beautiful, set in a heritage building. Room was very comfortable and modern- plenty of room even with an extra single bed set up for our 6 yr old son. Pool area had stunning views over the harbour. Parking was pricier than other similar hotels in the city, but very convenient.

Great location, very clean, good breakfast. Surprisingly quiet for the location. There was a pretty loud event going on in Ryan's Bar just across the way but it was barely audible in the room. In other CBD hotels I've found the aircon to be too loud, but not here. A good night's sleep.
