Amazing hotel! Directly located at the train station so we didn‘t have to walk even 10 meters with our heavy suitcases. 15min walk from opera house, the park and everything. Cute breakfast placec around the corner. The bed was the highlight! Big and comfy, we loved it.

Everything is excellent and I usually don't rate that high. Great location, lots of restaurants. Very quiet. Great breakfast included. The room and bathroom have a nice size. The price is great too compared to others. To get to CBD, central Sidney, you walk about 5-7 minutes to Train 1 or 9, or Metro. Within 15 minutes you are at city hall. It costs me 1 Australian dollar using T1,T9.

Like any major city, no matter how long you stay, you can't see it all or take in everything it has to offer. Stayed near Circular Quay, which meant we were close to where tours start, restaurants, city transport and the Opera House, which we toured.

So easy to get around everywhere especially on the Metro.

So easy to get around everywhere especially on the Metro. Railway staff were very helpful with directions and usually no more than a 15 min wait. Love the architecture of all the old buildings around the city - so much to see old and new. We went down for a family reunion and also to see Sculptures by the Sea exhibition while there.

Very easy to get around with the Opal travel card.Bus , tram, train and ferry are all included for as little as $20(£10) and once you reach the maximum daily limit $19.30 travel is free. You just tap on and off for each journey. Have a drink at the Opera House bar and watch the sun set. Lovely beach at Manley for a ferry ride.

We've decided that during our next visit, we should come to Sydney, to explore more sights and experiences. And stay for longer. So much to see and do. We got lost, and stumbled across laneways, and history at the rocks. Definitely another trip to organise. The Jacaranda trees at Circular Quay were in bloom in Mid October. Just stunning.

I have visited Sydney various times over the decades, and I never get tired of it. There are a variety of things to do, places to visit, and history to explore. The Art Gallery of NSW is always worth a visit, great permanent collection as well as fabulous special exhibitions such as "Dangerously Modern" - on currently. The Rocks is fascinating. Wendy Whiteley's Secret Garden is great, as is the view of Lavender Bay from there. I completed a "SheShapesHistory" walking tour - excellent. I completed a Rocks walking tour another time, and these are great ways to spend time with some like-minded or other curious people when travelling alone. Train, ferry and bus easy to use.

This hotel is extremely well-located - close to the new light rail system and the train system (for the airport), shops, restaurants, the Royal Botanical Garden, the excellent art gallery, etc. - and just two light rail stops to Circular Quay (for the Opera House and the Rocks). It's a heritage hotel, and has so much more character than most modern hotels. We were also pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was, given its CBD location. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I always stay at Maze when I do a trip to Sydney (I live a few hours away and often come down for concerts/shows/games etc). The location is so convenient as I catch the train to Sydney and Maze is only a short walk from Central. I get a single room as I’m a bit older than most backpackers in their early 20s, but the bathrooms are clean and in this economy I can’t afford hotels in the CBD anymore. Everyone is friendly though and the front desk staff were helpful.

Walking distance to museum. Probably one of the quietest hotels we've ever stayed in! Nice continental breakfast provided daily.

What a great stay. The staff are generous, kind and really professional. We loved the cleanliness, the great breakfast. We've previously stayed in other 'corporate' hotels in the CBD, that were significantly dearer, and this hotel, although further from Central Sydney, was a lot better.
