IndonesiaGreat location, great staff. Room was had amazing view of the beach and coastline. Everything was great. Easy walk to Ipanema beach and very easy to get to sights by Uber. Umbrellas and chairs provided on the beach was a nice touch. Pool had great views and Sauna was sooooo nice. Gym was small but adequate.

The staff were welcoming, friendly, and efficient, especially Oriana and Pablo. The best of them all was Gabriel : when my husband left his phone on the back seat of the cab, Gabriel offered to help, taking the trouble to contact both the taxi company and the restaurant we were driven from, found the cab driver, and we got the phone delivered back to the hotel!! One thousand THANKS to Gabriel from Elizabeth and Eugene! This is what I would call hospitality.

Sip a caipirinha here while the sun sets over the bay and mountains – it's unforgettable, but the fun doesn't end there. Clubbing in Rio is fantastic and ranges from techno to traditional bossa nova. Bohemian beats can be found in Santa Teresa and Lapa, where trams pass over a double-arched viaduct.
Overlooking all this from Corcovado mountain is iconic Christ the Redeemer, welcoming the world to Rio with arms outstretched. Take a cable car up to this statue on the edge of lush Tijuca Park for incredible views. Accessed by cable car, Sugar Loaf Mountain is also not to be missed.
Rio de Janeiro Airport is well linked to the ‘ Marvelous City’, but traffic can be manic, so leave enough time to reach it from your Rio hotel, apartment or hostel booked through Booking.com.

Very nice place to visit for a few days but you are always looking over your shoulder. People seem very pleasant and willing to help. Lots to see some nice places to visit and eat but sadly very little investment in infrastructure and alot of spray art work on any flat surface makes it all look very rough.

What I like most was the tour which included the Christ redeemer and Sugar Love plus an all you can eat buffet lunch. The tour was booked through the hotel.
The night club within 5 minutes driving distance from the hotel was nice and staffs were super friendly.
Getting around was pretty easy either via train, yellow taxi or Uber with reasonable fare.

All the staff at the Monte Castelo are very kind and helpful people. I was given a very nice, spacious and quiet room. It was clean and towels were regularly replaced and the room regularly cleaned. I have been staying at the Monte Castelo for 36 years now. It remains my go-to hotel in Rio de Janeiro. Absolutely first class all round! It also happens to be very conveniently located, close to the metro and very near to Santa Teresa, Lapa and the Aterro do Flamengo.

Location (not your typical Rio hotel on Copacabana/Ipanema), this hotel is literally on a very nice small beach (not private, but easily accessible and safe), great breakfast with lots of options, comfortable room with great sea view. Very helpful concierge desk. Bikes available for a stroll over Leblon/Ipanema beaches. Good restaurants on the resort.

Location of the hotel is perfect, you are on Copacabana beach and you can reach Ipanema in a few minute slow walk. You are on the most intetesting place in Rio. The breakfast is excellent and the roof top pool, although very small, give you the opportunity of breathtaking views on the shore.
