SwitzerlandVery nice apartment in the center of Andermatt. Despite being right behind a restaurant, it was very calm, no noise at all. The owner was very nice and responded quickly to all questions. Everything needed for our stay was available in the apartment. I will come back here next time I'm staying in Andermatt !

We visited Andermatt at the very end of the summer season, in September. It was wonderful!!! No crowds anywhere but warm sunshine and cool clear air everywhere. We did excursions to the Furka Pass and up to the summit of the Gutsch mountain and the mountain beauty was staggering. Andermatt is a cosy little ski town that is far from the party vibe of somewhere like Verbier. The benefit of that is it's not as busy and the prices are a little more "affordable" shall we say (keeping in mind it's still Switzerland!). While it feels much smaller its very easy to get to by train - the journey there is breathtaking! The little train that takes you directly from mid-mountain to the other resorts close by is brilliant as well. Only thing missing might be a bit more of an après-scene on the mountain I would say (if you're into that). Also should be noted they are building a huge new village next to the old village which will be awesome when it's complete. But until that point there are a few cranes and some drilling noises that may bother some people (didn't bother us!).Guest review byKatherineAustralia - 10
