Geneva is a wonderful place to visit and taking trains/buses to other towns is very easy. Geneva could be your central hub where you could experience other parts of Switzerland and France and discover all the beautiful surrounding towns like Montreux, Gstadd, Annecy etc.

For such a famous name, Geneva feels more like a big town than a city and is a pretty place but not long on knockout world-class sites. It has the jet d'eau and a floral clock but is also a great base for exploring this corner of the world.

transport system is fabulous, train straight into geneva...
transport system is fabulous, train straight into geneva from the airport or you can get the bus just outside arrivals to continue elsewhere. your hotel gives you a free Geneva travel pass which means you can hop on off trams trains and buses to get around the district. Geneva itself is a lovely city to walk around which we did until our feet decided they had had enough. during our stay we also took the flix bus to Annecy and explored that area as well.

Just one word: OVERPRICED
Food shops, Christmas markets, Restaurants, services in general are OVERPRICED for the quality they offer.
I regret choosing Geneva. I`m an experienced traveller and there are better destination to choose for arts, culture and historic background.
CHRISTMAS MARKETS, forget about it you will be disappointed.
Better places to go fro Christmas: LUGANO, VIENNA, NORTH ITALIAN CITY.

Geneva is a quaint, bourgie town that has so much to experience. Make time to get around and ask helpful locals that can direct you. Alternatively, tour guides will help get the best out of your trip!!! Very beautiful city!
The transport network was absolutely amazing, easy to get around using public transport be it the bus, tramp or train, even the boats on lake Geneva.
The old Geneva town is a must see! Montreux (and its christmas market) and the Alps are also a go to!

Our visit was specifically to go to Christmas markets. The main one in Geneva was lovely, we were there during the day so it wasn’t overly busy and could walk around it with no problem. Geneva itself was easy to navigate, the Jet d’eau was absolutely stunning. It’s a beautiful city.
We booked a train trip to Montreaux for their Christmas market and this was the highlight of our trip. The views were amazing and the market itself was huge, very impressive. So glad we added this on.

Staff was lovely, friendly and very helpful, and also good company! The location was great, both for its connection from the airport and to the city centre. Get the bus 10 Rêve at the airport to the Guye stop, and your ate the hotel basically. the same bus will get you to town and back at the airport in less than 15 mins. I enjoyed having a drink at the end of the night at the hotel bar and read a book or chat with the night receptionist. Overall it was very convenient and if i’m ever back to Geneva, i’ll stay here again.

Perfectly clean, very modern but not without character, friendly and professional staff, lots of those little amenities that make all the difference (standard toiletries + a few extras I didn't expect, nice touch with nuts, dates and tea/coffee available in common spaces, complimentary water, etc). Honestly the best hotel in it's class in Geneva, from someone who has samples ALL OF THEM for work in the last few months!

Best hotel that we stayed in during our summer Swiss trip covering Zurich, Bern, Lausanne, Vevey and Geneva. The staff from the front desk, breakfast area and shuttle services were well trained in customer service. Had a wonderful customer experience, will definitely come back and recommend NH Geneva Airport Hotel to friends and family.

This is one of my favourite hotels. Rooms are on the small side but there’s everything one might need. Super clean. Very quiet
Max 10 min walk to the airport, with its shops and restaurants. Short ride to Balexert shopping, to UN, city centre.
For Geneva hotel prices, this is an economical option combined with high standards
