United StatesThe staff who checked us in were so friendly and helpful, booked dinner at restaurant for us, translated the menu, Our corner room had a superb view of the lake and book landing. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was in an awesome area that looked out over the lake and was gorgeous. The out door seating for the restaurant was great. Surrounded by lovely areas to walk. Again the staff were some of the most helpful and friendly of out trip. It was just yard from the boat dock and Mt Rigi cogwheel train. Great breakfast variety and menu for dinner.

I was in Lucerne to compete in the Swiss City Marathon, and they graciously prepared an early breakfast to fit my race schedule. Edith at reception was incredibly thoughtful, taking time to calm my nerves and ensuring I had everything I needed for the big day. It was the kind of personal touch that’s rare to find and so appreciated.
The hotel’s onsite restaurant and Bistro were constantly buzzing with patrons, a clear indication of their popularity. Although we didn’t get a chance to dine in this time, we’ll definitely be trying them on our next visit. With service and atmosphere this exceptional, we wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else in Lucerne!

If you are umming and ahhing about going, just go.
If you are umming and ahhing about going, just go. I've seen a review saying it was crowded, but October 2023 it was not, it was very quiet so if you want a bustling vibe it's not for you! I think in summer it may be more of a popular spot.

The hotel staff were very friendly. The location is great for accessing Rigi via cogwheel train or Lucerne via boat. Breakfast was great with the usual inclusions (cheeses, cold meat, bread, jams and boiled eggs), and they were able to get some gluten free bread for me too, which was very nice. Having parking available was a nice bonus.

The room had a great view of the mountain.
The food was great, really liked the buffet menu and the charging method (by weight of plate).
Probably the best hotel I've ever stayed in.

The location is great, the spa facilities are nice.
The fish tank with all the exotic fishes and corrals is a nice touch.
The meat at the "Grill" restaurant was very good.
