The construction of the buiding with wooden shingles, floors, walls and ceilings was charming along with the artesanal art pieces on display. There was room for two cars to park in front of the premises which is rare for the area.

ChileA luxury modern/rustic cabin for 2 people with an exceptional location in the middle of a forest. Private terrace with jacuzzi overseeing the forest, Castro city and the bay. Extremely clean bathroom, bedroom and kitchenette. Super comfy bed. Huge breakfast served to our room at the time of our choosing with local cheese, avocado, a selection of cold meats, milk, youghurt, jam, natural juices and incredible bread (they bake it themselves). All appliances working including a Bose bluetooth speaker, perfect for enjoying the complimentary bottle of wine to soft music in the jacuzzi at night. Gloria y Cote are the nicest hosts ever, they treat you truly like family. They were so nice that when I asked for a charcoal grill to make a night barbecue they bought one specially for us! Even though Castro city is close (5 min drive) we went looking for a quiet place to relax but this exceeded our expectations, if you need a place to relax in Chiloé THIS IS IT!!

Castro is a basic Chilloe town. There is walking around the estuary and a beach on the opposite side. The national park with a board walk walk is 30 minutes drive. There are a couple of good restaurants. Two days was plenty of time

I'd been to Castro several times, but this was my first during high season, and I'd advise travelers that unless you like sitting in backed-up traffic ('taco') for long stretches, just avoid Castro from mid-January to late February, when trying to drive from anywhere north of Castro to anywhere south of Castro can take hours. November-December are great, however, and I'm told March is the best month of all. By and large, Chiloé's charms are not to be found in the cities.

This is a superb hotel. I had a single room for the price of a dorm. Its very clean. Pablo who runs the hotel was great. When I arrived they were doing a free bbq and I was invited to join - with wine included. Everyone was very warm and friendly despite my lack of Spanish. They don't do the bbq every day, I think I got lucky. but even without the bbq I will return because there was such a good atmosphere. The free breakfast was great too.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. All the facilities were great, in particular the very well equipped kitchen (even providing oils and spices to cook with), the clean bathroom and the cosy reading area on the first floor. Sandro was also an incredibly friendly and helpful host, providing me with detailed suggestions for places to visit (on Qinchao Island and by the national park in Cucao). I'd definitely stay here again!

It’s a lovely place to stay, very comfortable and so well designed. With large bays onto the canal and possibility to stay outside on a terrace. It feels like being home with accessibility to an open kitchen and living area.

NIce interior and beautiful view. Spacious and very clean. Helpful staff. Good place to relax for a few days and get away from the dull interior design of most other Chilenean hotels and apartments we stayed in.

Spa Facilities were great. Parking was free, restaurant food was nice and felt safe. Very relaxing, will go back again as one of the nices hotels in town
