United StatesWhat a beautiful property. We loved relaxing by the fire pit with a glass of wine at night and waking up to a fresh & extensive breakfast spread. The quality of nearby restaurants varies pretty widely, so it was nice to have the dinner option in the hotel as well.
The unique, Gaudi-inspired design of the property was gorgeous, but it was the gardens that really blew me away.
I recommend joining the free guided hike, but note that it takes 2 1/2 to 3 hours if you need to check out that day. While short, parts were strenuous & it is in Spanish.
The area caters to local travelers but was one of our favorite stops in our 2 week trip around central & northern Chile. The hotel is about 1 1/2 hours from the hot springs, which was a stunning & slightly terrifying drive.

United Arab EmiratesWe loved our two night stay at Borde Maipo. We stayed in the Algorrobo cabin and had our own hot tub and private view of the river. It was so peaceful. We had everything we needed to make our own dinner and enjoy the peace of the mountains. The beds are comfy and warm, we left our window open to listen to the river all night long. Christian has a very interesting story and is a very hospitible host. Breakfast had a decent array of options for all diets and is served in your room. There is a shared small. Pool and BBQ area along the river. Gorgeous river sunsets.
