SloveniaGreat location, Chico. Room looks incredible, there is even carpet on the floor. There are a lot of additional bath/shower accessories, sadly shampoo only in sample bottles. Air conditioning works fast. Elevator is super fancy with views trough the glass and also very fast. Receptionist escorted me to my room and showed me everything, even where light switches are. It felt safe both in the hotel and outside of it. Hotel works on a very high professional level, they speak fluent English too. During my stay in Bogota I used in total 3 hotels, one 5 star and two 4 stars. This hotel, El Dorado, was probably the best of them, even exceeded my expectation compared to the 5 star I used days before.

ColombiaGood at restaurant was exceptional. I stayed with my two kids and we enjoyed greatly the heated pool. That was a true bonus and in Bogota where it can be windy and cool at times. The room was very comfortable, and breakfast was exceptional - a huge variety of options. Service was attentive.

I know the area of Chapinero, where I stayed, quite well and always feel safe. I like the temperate climate of Bogota, ie. cool at night and warm during the day, but never too hot nor too cold. I was able to walk everywhere I needed to go, including into the historical center. However, I did not come here as a mesmerized tourist, I just came to hang out for a while.

Heavy traffic, and air pollution made all the commuting in the city a nightmare. However, the museums that we visited (Museo del Oro/Golden museum and Botero Museum) were excellent. We also visited the Chingaza Park that is in a hill over the town, and where we could see beautiful species of birds.

Nice city , and we see interesting scrawl every where, the climate is very good as neither very hot nor very cold. The people are very nice, we don't need to worry about the cellphone when walking at the street. And we had the colorful fruit, it is tasty.

Monserrate was nice.
Monserrate was nice. The Museum of Gold was fantastic and unique, worth the trip. The craft gallery across from the Museum of Gold was very good. A walk through the old part of town was very nice. Two days there were just fine. If you like museums a third way would be good. Rush hour traffic was crazy.

We were a group of four and booked a local tour company for private tours over five separate days. I highly recommend it, because we would otherwise not have known which neighbourhoods to explore, and we would have missed out on learning about Bogota’s interesting history. We stayed in the Parque 93 area and ate at several local Colombian restaurants there, also enjoying great Italian, Japanese, and Mexican food nearby. Getting around Bogota is easy and safe with Uber, but plan extra time for traffic, because there is always traffic! The people were so friendly.

I loved my multiple stays at this hotel during my visit to Colombia. It’s a beautiful building in a perfect location in La Candelaria. The rooms are great and include a safe. A good breakfast is served every morning. Particular thanks to Alfredo and Gabriel for all their service and for always wanting to help – they are such a friendly team. Gran servicio! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bogota.

Incredible beds, bathrooms and lounge. The restaurant meal was high quality seafood, breakfast buffet was fresh and delicious, with the overall service impeccable. I had to send a package to the hotel during my trip and it was waiting for me when I arrived at check-in. This is a perfect place to stay near the airport in Bogota for a pleasant and stress-free stop.

This is a good no frills place to stay if you want to be near Bogota airport overnight. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the terminal by free shuttle bus. The bus operates 24 hours a day and was surprisingly busy when we used it to get back to the airport at 5am. As you miss breakfast the hotel leaves out coffee and breads in the lobby.

I stayed at the Ibis Museo 3 times during my time in Colombia and each time found it a very comfortable and well run hotel. Its fantastic value for money and located opposite the National Museum, ideal for the main Bogota sites. Staff are courteous and efficient and the onsite taxi service gives safe transport options.
