United KingdomThe most amazing relaxing spot up in the hills, surrounded by trees and birds, the view was unbelievable. We had a lovely breakfast sat on the terrace in the sunshine and delicious dinner served in the restaurant or in the room - our choice.
There was a small crack in one of the domes panels which as soon as we raised the staff came and did a fix.
They also did a fabulous job of cleaning the room (which we didn’t expect on Xmas day and had left bags and clothes everywhere). A perfect relaxing stay with great hosts.

There's a path to join Minca center in 15 minutes, in the middle of nature. I didn't want to leave that place. The views from the restaurant and the shared shower are a miracle. I recommend 200%

AustraliaThe breakfast is solid and the staff really friendly and helpful, but for me, what sets this place apart is the magnificent setting, waking up to birds, the splendid mountain vistas and the superb breakfast view down to Santa Marta. It is only 10 minutes' walk or so to the village, yet you seem to be in the middle of the forest. I loved this place. I spent 3 nights here a month previously and enjoyed it so much, I decided to return by flying from Medellin back to Santa Marta before making my way up the mountain for the short journey to Minca.

Thank you to all the staff, Sandra and everyone, were so kind attentive and loving and made this experience better, always caring about your needs. Such a dream!!!! Spa could improve, location, design, dimension, too tight for 2 beds, needs a place where to sit to wait for the masus to come, massage was pretty good. Not really what I have been told.
Not really what I have been told. I was expecting an “hippie vibe place” but more than hippie it is a bit unkept.
Try to spend time in nature but avoid the waterfall everyone one goes to. It loses all the magic and silence of the place.

BEWARE UPPER ACCESS ROAD as shown as only one by GPS Google Maps!!! Scary and if you have any incident you are 2 hours walk away from hotel... who will tell you as they did to us: you should not come here by car, and NOT via Upper Track. Use lower one at La Vittoria....
Food on site is average. Staff correct with no excess of smiles. Room fine - no hot water so better a swim in pool than cold shower 😳
No hiking trails only the access roads
Clientele around 30´s with a noisy group on 1st evening

Lazy Cat Restaurant is a surprising and excellent find. Minca is backpacker 20 something heaven. Lots of green. I suppose there are some great hikes. Once you have seen a bit of the world it can get repetitive. I probably would not go back. 2 days is more than enough (of course depending on your situation and expectations). Yet another good place to meditate and be with nature.

It was an unforgettable experience walking through nature, seeing the rivers and waterfalls. The variety of birds, the tranquility of being surrounded by so many sounds, breathtaking sunsets. I truly enjoyed the whole experience and place. Will do it again, highly recommended.

Lovely place to see birds, swim in some waterfalls, have some good coffee and chocolate on farms, get some craft beer. Very hot though— stay hydrated and pack sunscreen. I would recommend this place and advise hiking around to enjoy the nature.

I had the most amazing stay at Minca Sintropia. This was actually my most memorable stay in Colombia.
The Sintropia is located high up in minc. The views and the cool weather was wonderful. Excellent food, super clean room, wonderful staff, free fresh drinking water from the mountains and great staff.
The highlight for me was Silvester the toucan, the 2 parrots, the delicious food and the wonderful staff. I must add - the bed was super comfortable, the wifi was excellent and the location was superb.

The area is maravillosa, quiet, disconnected from the world, ladies who were there made my stay more interesting by chatting about the culture and changes within the last 30 years in Colombia, views are incredible; soups were delicious! family vibe was fun. If you're a hike lover it's a great place with many different points on a map to visit! there are mats and a couple weights for the simplest workout. Kitties, dogos, a hen(please, get her a compatible friend!), monkeys, kolibris and parrots around <3

This is an amazing property up in the mountains a few kilometres from Minca. You will need to get a driver with a 4x4 to take you the few km’s as it is a very rough and bumpy road. It is well worth it though, as the property has amazing views, hiking trails, a restaurant with great food (which we struggled with for a lot of our trip in Colombia) and it is very close to the Marinka Waterfalls.

Selva Minca is an absolutely beautiful eco-lodge nestled in the lush rainforests of Minca offering a stunning and immersive experience in nature. It was one of the highlights of our Colombia trip. The combination of incredible natural beauty and sympathetic and sustainable facilities makes this place a real gem.
