We had excellent massage on site. The staff were helpful and friendly. The restaurant is excellent with a delicious buffet supper and a pleasant breakfast.

PolandNice, spacious room with large bathroom and balcony. A bit old-fashioned (which added some charm) but fully comfortable. Excellent big breakfast, including a cachupa with egg - a welcome energy boost before a day of hiking!
Location in the centre of Assomada which is not exactly a beatiful town but has a purely local feel and an excellent location for hiking in the interior of the Santiago island. Some hikes are accessible on foot, some by taking an aluguer (minibus) - and the aluguer station is just a few steps away from Asa Branca.
Some previous guests complained about street noise but we had a room at the back and it was quiet.
