The staff were great, the room was amazing. They provided 2 dog bowls and 2 lots of treats as we had 2 dogs with us, many hotels, despite knowing we have 2 dogs with us, only provide things for 1 dog.
The lighting was fun as it could be controlled forma panel and kept changing :¬)
The drinks in the mini bar were complimentary as was a drink before dinner. Dinner in their Asian restaurant was also excellent and so different.
Breakfast was outstanding.
It was only an overnight stop on the journey home across Europe, so we are planning to return, without the dogs as it is a 10 hour drive from us, in the spring to enjoy it more slowly.

Lovely old town with a lot of wine shops.
Lovely old town with a lot of wine shops. A lot of wineyards within 10 minutes drive, for fantastic tastings. A great winotek on the Kuues site of the bridge. Food was so so, two of four restaurents where definately more turist traps than restaurents. Schützenhaus was a nice lunch restaurent with a fantastic view over the Mosel.
Book at least two nights, becaus there is to many wines to taste in one day. You will definataly be drunk by noon.
I would go again.

Lots of things to do and see.
Lots of things to do and see. Boat trips available and public transportation available. Bus and trains. Wine and the food were exceptional. The castle is unique and a nice place to sit and see the overview of the town.

WE have been before and it is still a great place to stay, on the river with boat trips, good roads to Trier etc, many wine tasting locations are within walking distance, it gets busy in the day but evenings when the coaches have gone it is really lovely!

Bernkastel is a small village, so it is easy to get around...
Bernkastel is a small village, so it is easy to get around on foot. One day walk around and see it is more than enough. Within Bernkastel and within 10 minutes driving distance one can find exceptional wineries which offer wine tastings and tours.

Bernkastel kues is a small but well appointed town, with big supermarkets for all of your self catering accommodation needs. A good selection of restaurants and a few bars, to my point of view and UK experience with bars where there is no smoking in them it could be a little un pleasant in some BUT not all as there are some smoke free.
The Xmas Market and advent calendar house are well worth visiting with a very relaxed but busy vibe. The river cruise/trip is a nice way to spend an hour or so, there are longer trips available but in December when we were there it's a limited run so to speak.
All in all for our 4 night stay it was ideal.

We went for the winter market and while it was raining a bit, the market experience did not disappoint. It was a beautiful, postcard perfect, little town square with one building having an advent on the side of its walls - it is famed as being the largest advent calendar in Europe and they are probably right - watching them open one of the doors was great. The food, drink, and other items for sale as well as the atmosphere were fantastic. My family are big fans of winter markets and this one rates in our Top 5. We also walked up to the ruins of the castle overlooking the town - great view of the town and river. If you love Asian food, you must try Dian's - some of the best food I have eaten including having lived in SE Asia for 6 years.

Beautiful apartment with a lovely view across the Mosel Valley.
Calm and peaceful area good for getting out and about. We have passed through Bernkastel-Kues but never taken the time to enjoy the area. It was well worth the visit!
Sandra was lovely even when we accidentally locked ourselves out🥴.
We also left some belongings when we left and Sandra notified us and has forward them on. Would happily recommend.

The apartment was very spacious and had everything we needed. We had sunny weather and also enjoyed the terrace and garden. The old city centre of Bernkastel-Kues is at walking distance as well as several supermarkets. Private parking place next to the apartment. We did not meet the owner, but she responded very quickly to all our questions via Whatsapp.

Everything was great. Very attentive staff. Fantastic location near the Marktplatz. Free minibar with their own wines. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. AC works fine. Great underground parking at extra cost. Comfortable, clean & very modern room. We will definitely return to this wonderful hotel!
