We were here the first week of November, end of season, but...
We were here the first week of November, end of season, but were extremely lucky with the weather. We can only imagine how busy this place gets at the height of the season. The Autumn trees were spectacular, we experienced no traffic and it was great that the chairlift was still open 11-4. Cafe Flair on the riverfront is a must for trying traditional regional cakes and treats. We stayed 2 nights following 2 previous nights at Nürburgring. 2 nights in Cochem was enough for our 2 teenagers at this time of the year.

The old town is beautiful and lovely to wander in during the day. It's very quiet after about 6pm though, and bookings at restaurants are advised, especially in the summer and on weekends. Boat trips, castle tours, and the chairlift up to the Pinner Cross are highlights of a trip to Cochem.

We stayed in Cochem for 3 days to get over jet lag before our Rick Steves tour. Reichsburg Cochem is the castle owned by the town, and it's worth the walk, the views and tour of the castle, which are available in English or German. A lovely small town with character, lots of restaurants and shops. It's also easy to head up to Rick Steves' favorite castle Burg Elz, via short train to Moselkern or by ferry. The town is compact, so it was easy to catch a train to the start of our next tour.

Beautiful little town. A must see castle. The boat ride was disappointing. A recording in English with the town history would have been nice as this is a tourist attraction. So we found this a waste of money. Train stop close. Good wine! Restaurants close early for dinner.

A lovely town , compact and easy to get around.
A lovely town , compact and easy to get around. Lots to see and do and the local community are friendly. Be prepared for busy season with coach tours. We visited in early October and missed the crowds. The Hieronimi wine cellar ( not to be confused with the hotel of the same name), does an excellent 8 glass wine tasting. Incredibly informative and entertaining. The location is also great for days out by train access to other locations such as Koblenz.

Cochem is a very pretty town on the moselle river.
Cochem is a very pretty town on the moselle river. The river walking and biking paths are scenic. The one hour river boat tour is a nice way to see the vineyards.
The shops are nice. The castle is nice to walk up to and see the views of Cochem.
One can rent an ebike to ride along the river pathways or one can jog or walk along the river pathways.
There are also hiking trails in Cochem.

We had an amazing stay at this lovely accommodation right next to the Mosel river in Cochem. The location couldn’t be better — peaceful, scenic, and just a short walk from the town center.
The room (and hotel) was comfortable and beautifully decorated, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to help, making us feel right at home. Breakfast was absolutely delicious (and a great price), and having convenient on-site parking was a huge plus.
We’d love to stay here again!

After 20 days traveling in Germany, one thing is clear: accommodation in Cochem is expensive, and this hotel is no different. The room has a nice river view, is spacious, and the shower is good. But my kids had to sleep on a noisy sofa bed, and the blackout curtains don’t really block the light. Breakfast is good and served from 8:00 to 10:00, but after 9:00 there are no refills of things like fruit, sausages, or pastries (at least during the three nights I stayed). Not worth the price they charge.

There are many choice of food for breakfast and the landlord take good care of every customers. The room is very clean and well maintained. The rooms with balcony have great view of the Mosel and the Cochem castle, especially the corner room #3. There are plenty of space for parking. After a day of visits you can enjoy a beer and snack (curry wurst, hamburger, ...) in the hotel garden (close at 6PM)

The hotel has super friendly staff and a great breakfast.
My room was spotless and had a very comfy bed.
The location of the hotel is ideal for a quick walk into Cochem or exploration into the amazing views the Moezel area has to offer.

love staying at this hotel and the great garage for parking the motorbikes. Easy walk into Cochem and its lovely scenic location. The rooms are great, superb breakfast, and the staff was very helpful.
