CanadaIt was very clean, and they let me check-in early (for a small fee). The early check-in was very much appreciated though, and check out was later at noon too which I also appreciated.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
They have breakfast for €16 which initially I thought was expensive but after eating at places nearby realized you get a lot for that money and it’s worth having the breakfast there.

We came for the Christmas markets and it was a great experience. It simply goes on and on along several streets and is a beautiful sight of colours and lights. We took a guided tour offered by Booking and it was very good and informative since most sites are concentrated in the old town and it's easy to cover them all in one tour.

Frankfurt is a transportation hub.
Frankfurt is a transportation hub. People from other countries or continents can come here without changing the flights. From here, people can go to other cities by train. Frankfurt is one of the cities where things and/or building don't change much. I lived in this city many decades ago, but still can go around without big problems. Main train station looks the same with old days, just lines of subway and fast train lines were built under the ground for convenience.

When you arrive at the main train station and walk towards the city it is absolutely horrible and disgusting. The streets are lined with drug addicts, prostitutes, beggars and it is dirty. I did not feel safe. Never expected this from Germany. What a disgrace. The city itself is quite nice but I was surprised about the stark social differences etc as well as non Germans bothering me about money and looking in strange ways after my female companion [she felt uncomfortable] etc. Strange feeling. Nice food. Nice mix of modern and old buildings. Lots of culture and shopping but there clearly are a lot of unresolved social issues. There is a nice green belt around the inner city but also here you do not feel safe due to drunks, drug dealers etc.

We came for the Christmas markets and thoroughly enjoyed them a great atmosphere. Didn't do alot of sightseeing, but did take a river cruise which was nice.
Found everyone very friendly the city has a great mix of old and new.
Area around the station is a bit lively if you're not used to cities you may find this a bit intimidating but we didn't have any issues.
Ristorante Bacco on Kaiserstraße is well worth a visit.

Frankfurt is a vibrant and modern city with a mix of historic charm and contemporary architecture. The skyline is impressive, and the city is very clean and well-organized. It has excellent public transportation, making it easy to get around. There are plenty of shopping areas, restaurants, and cultural attractions, including museums and historic sites. The riverfront area is especially nice for walking and relaxing. Overall, Frankfurt is a great city to visit, whether for business or leisure.
