GermanyBreakfast was great. The house is old but feels like a castle from the 19th century. Tall ceilings and very well decorated. The host was super friendly and asked us what we want for breakfast. The studio where we stayed was beautifully decorated, with carpets and drapes and a nice soft bed. The linens were fresh and everything was very clean. Would come stay again

United StatesGreat location, easy walking distance to the main railway station and to tons of shops and restaurants. Great staff, always friendly, attentive and willing to help. Nice size room, VERY comfy bed and a spotless bathroom/shower. The check-in desk and bar are open 24 hours, so my personal shout-out goes to Madina, who checked me in late and then kept me company at the bar for a couple of hours to get rid of some jet lag and to Gina,who also worked some nights and always had some good suggestion for great places to eat. My thanks to both ladies for their help and friendly disposition

A Revivalist Triumph
The capital of Lower Saxony, beautiful Hanover has been so thoughtfully planned that you can’t tell it was largely destroyed in World War II. The city is full of green spaces, one of which is by the huge Maschsee lake, where sailors and rowers share the water with pedal boats. In the winter, you might be able to skate there. A smaller lake in the Maschpark closer to the center of the city reflects the grand New Town Hall overlooking it.
The Old Town Hall is in the Old Town where half-timbered buildings were brought from all areas of the city during rebuilding. The square in back hosts one of the Hanover Christmas markets. The others are on Kröpcke pedestrian shopping street, and in front of the station, where the city’s main shopping center, Ernst August Gallerie, is located.
To the north are the incredible, beautifully landscaped Herrenhausen Gardens, bursting with color most of the year. This area gives its name to the local pilsner, Herrenhäuser. There are also colorful sculptures by Niki de Saint Phalle, whose work is also displayed in the Sprengel modern art museum.

It was a real surprise.
It was a real surprise. We went to the Flea market along the river and the bridges and the old and the new architecture were a real revelation. Everyone thinks Hannover is boring but we had the best time visiting the palace and the garden with the amazing Grotto by Niki de St Phalle, Went to a great little wine bar, Next Generations Wine, had a beautiful mezze dinner at Al Dar and then Karaoke at Downtown. We had a fab time.

Hannover offers an appealing array of fine dining experiences; the town/city is exceptionally easy to navigate and it is supported by a well-developed transport system.
The abundance of supermarkets throughout the city is a welcome convenience, while the town centre stands out with its inviting shops and a lively farmers market (I saw on Friday morning) all nestled within a clean, safe, and well-maintained urban setting.

Beautiful city with lots of great food, places to shop, places to relax, a wide selection of name-brands, unqiue shops and generfic shopping. THey also have beautiful historical buildings, including a mini Versailles. Highly recommend!

Nice city, good shopping, beautiful views and friendly people. Can really recommend to choose hotels with no breakfast and do the breakfast in some nice breakfast place in the city (like Seven Days) or just at a nearby bakery :)

If you are interested in "pretty, old" Germany, there are lots of other places that are more attractive to visit. While there are some stunning individual buildings such as the Neues Rathaus and the Maschpark (which is lovely), much of the city centre is standard fare - chain shops and shopping arcades. The Herrenhauser and surrounding gardens are delightful to visit, though. So a mixed bag. Worth a day or so, perhaps?

It was good to visit a well maintained city, there is a slightly noticeable homeless issue but not significant. City is on the whole very clean.
The transport system is fantastic and efficient but does require foresight as DB usage requires advanced booking - tip make sure your phone is charged! Public transport is reasonably priced.

While traveling through Germany, this was a perfect stop for the night. The large parking lot offered enough free space, checkin was smooth. The lady in the breakfast room was very welcoming and even prepared me a lunch to take away. Fresh scrambled eggs enriched the breakfast.

Nice hotel which was built just recently. Small room but that was OK because it was well organized. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. They used "Du" (You) which does not matter for me, that is standard in Sweden, but very strange in Germany. Just some "fun fact".

Adequate appartment with splendid location. Old and worn, but very well cleaned. Good beds. Surprisingly silent to be so centrally located, also for the bedroom towards the Street. Stayed one night on our Way through Germany, and enjoyed beautiful Hannover.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Airport shuttle is a big bonus for travelers. Always use this hotel when I must fly in and out of Hannover. You can actuality walk to the airport from there if you had to. Great place to overnight for flights.
