LatviaExceptional host! There are many hotels that just ask you to "feel at home". Pension Schwedenkreuz is one that really, genuinely delivers on that promise. The usual amenities are of course all there - a large, clean, well appointed room with an excellent bathroom, Netflix, etc. But that's not the point. Erich, the owner of the property, is a genuinely warm and caring host. It's not just the personally served delicious breakfasts and the meaningful conversations. It's a whole range of unexpected amenities and privileges that are not even mentioned in the overall description of the house, yet are there - in a way they would be in your own home. The name "guest-house" does not even serve full justice. This place is a home away from home, like when you would visit an old friend. For us, a bunch of petrol-heads on our annual pilgrimage to Nurburgring, Erich also served as a knowledgeable mentor. Thank You, and hope to visit again!
