The owner provided a lot of info about restaurants and what to see as well as a tour of our room explaining the facilities. Very personal touch which was very appreciated.

I really loved the spa and the snow cabin was such a surprise as I had never seen that anywhere else. It’s a very elegant and luxury place, with every little detail thought through.

Beautiful old town at the top of a steep hill and lovely sea front at the bottom. Great transport links both up and down the coast. Plenty choice of restaurants, bars and shops. Didn't see any 'British' bars, which was a plus in our opinion, very popular with other Europeans.

Old town Altea is like Santorini - white walls, steps and beautiful views. Great restaurants along the esplanade, lots to choose from - all different types of food. The Gambas were extra huge, and the lamb very tender.
The beaches were long and safe. The sea was turquoise.
Just bring wet shoes as its all pebbles.
Great place for food - Columbus 1492, Galleon themed restaurant, excellent staff and good price.
Good place to go - Les Fonts del Algar ( can swim in the Waterfall pools), good walk up and back.
Public transport only to Benidorm / CALP from Altea, not up to the mountains unless you booked a cab, or walked, or went with a tour. Tram running alongside the prom.

We loved this place.
We loved this place. The Old Town is full of character, charm, lovely restaurants and a relaxed atmosphere.
The beach front is immaculate with some excellent restaurants. Ideal for a 2 or 3 day stay - or more if you fall in love with it.

Pebble beach so you really have to hire a sunbed which costs 21 euros for two beds and a parasol. Cost mounts up if you are doing that every day. Old town up the hill was lovely. Lots of nice places to eat.

Picturesque old town with new town for shopping and restaurants close by. Perfect for a more relaxed break. Tramline connecting to Calpe and Benidorm for €2.50 return if you want to see something different. Be prepared to channel your inner mountain goat as quaint traditional streets are certainly a steep climb.

Lovely town, but if you want to spend time in the centre, its best to stay in town or have your own transport. If not, a resort hotel is a good choice too.
Altea old town is extremely picturesque, with amazing views of the area. The beachfront promenade is also lovely, with plenty of restaurants amd bars to choose from.

This is a basic hotel ("Pension") in the Old Town of Altea. It has comfortable beds, is clean, the air conditioning works well, and most importantly, it is right on the edge of the Old Town. This means the nicest shops and restaurants on top of the hill are only a short walk away, but the rooms are away from most of the associated crowd noise. The staff member on the desk was highly enthusiastic, very friendly, and keen to point out the panoramic views available from the rooftop, which was a bonus.

Incredible boutique hotel in the heart of Altea. The staff made us feel so welcome from the minute we arrived to when we checked out. Adored the art deco feel of the accommodation from the reception to the rooms. The location was amazing with walking distance to the shops, cafes and beach. We can’t wait to come back.
