SpainThere are amazing staff! it was very comfortable! they try to do everything for their guests! ski room was excellent, I mean you have not do anything, the staff help you with ski and boots, it was my first experience with this kind of care (although I travel a lot). we booked a number for 3 person, but we were 4 (2 adult and 2 children). it wasn’t comfortable to sleep with our daughter in one bed, so the hotel offer us upgrade the room, and we got two-room sute with to bedrooms, and they did for us a really good discount!!!

The staff were really kind and welcoming and the location for our ski holiday was perfect . It’s just a short walk to the slopes although the hotel did provide an excellent bus service. FranceThis hotel is the best hotel we have tried in the Val d Aran. The staff first of all are SO friendly and nice, the owner even helped us when our car battery died, within seconds he was jump starting our car. The rooms, are super comfy with a really nice bed, a nice surprise to find lovely dressing gowns and slippers. The decor in the hotel and the rooms is very tastefully done with a lot of style and the thought. The spa area is really nice, great facilities with a view of the mountains. Lastly the breakfast is EXCEPTIONAL, so much choice of food it was mind blowing and tasty, then even had bubbly to drink. The only teeny negative no local jams but that is such a minor details. Whether your skiing or not this is a really nice place to go to.

This town was apparently built by the developer and is not a genuine mountain village. There are literally 2 small grocery stores with high prices. The bars and coffee shops are open only after 13:00 and there are not too many of them. There are few decent restaurants, but probably slightly overpriced. There are almost no apre-ski bars (I have seen only one). Those who wish to take a break from skiing don't have much to do in the town unless they use the facilities of one of the posh hotels. This resort is more for die-hard skiers than for those who want to enjoy other activities.

Good for snow quality, and a range of skiing.
Good for snow quality, and a range of skiing. Long, older ski lifts could use upgrading. Limited dining on the pistes, but that which is there is of good quality and great service. No apres ski. Very limited restaurant choice so half board is advised.

Good for intermediate skiers, plenty of blue & red runs for a 5 day stay. The lift pass system needs updating, they're still using the barcode pistols to check you on to lifts. Baqueira is a quiet resort, anybody used to the Alps would find there isn't much choice in terms of bars, restaurants & nightlife but ok if you're after a quieter stay. Municipal parking is free & just a short walk to the accommodation buildings (hotels & apartments), around 5 to 10 minutes. We saw a forecast online of 1.5m depth of snow at the top & 1.2m at the bottom (snow forecast.com). This was misinformation by a long way & maybe the resort is providing the wrong information??

The Val de Aran area is a beautiful part of the world, if you can avoid peak hours to hit the slopes you can stay anywhere in the area and enjoy lovely food in an awesome setting. Baquiera has the added value (and cost) of being able to walk to the ski lifts.

Family skip trips is not only about slopes and snow, in our case we were fortunate with perfect weather and the begginer section was well prepare. However they are cutting services everywhere like the free shuttle from parking to the lifts, also they should also check the quality of some restaurants and apartment which are old and not maintenance for years or decades.
Definitely not a family ski destiny. Just find somewhere else to have fun with your offsprings

Very good location to enjoy skiing in Baqueira's ski resort if that's the purpose of the trip, The chairlift is 100 metres from the hotel. and there is a free transfer from the hotel to the chairlift. The hotel is comfortable and clean, excellent breakfast and food at the restaurant. The staff is very nice and helpful. It is an great option to stay in this area.
