United StatesI always wondered how it would be to stay in this hotel and when some friends came to my house to visit, I decided to give them some privacy and book a room in Murcia for the night. I liked the fact that the gentleman at the reception desk was pleasant and informative. I was pleased with the room, thr bathroom quality, the bed was very comfortable and the fact that I can rest peacefully.

United StatesVery helpful staff who was kind and courteous, especially during check in. Very easy process and they were knowledgeable about the area and answered all my questions. Nice, safe, and secure underground parking. Very easy to find and right off the highway. Decent area with a nice park outside to sit or take a light walk.
Room was clean, wifi was very good, and the aircon worked very well. Room was actually quite large and the bed was comfortable. Check out was simple and easy.

The room was nice and the bed comfortable.
Found restaurant and bar a couple streets away and had a fabulous meal . the waiter didn’t speak English and we didn’t speak Spaniish but but we had a great meal.

Located in the Huerta plain and surrounded by mountains, Murcia is the capital of its namesake region and a famous producer of vegetables. This picturesque city adorned in Baroque masterpieces like the Cathedral still enjoys a peaceful, local atmosphere.
Founded in 825 by the Moorish Caliph of Cordoba in the centre of the Segura River valley, the city planners created an irrigation system that inaugurated the agricultural prosperity of the region. The Old Town -showing some of the Moorish legacy- is situated along the river banks, and its main streets Platería and Trapería have been pedestrianized for easy walking access. The centre of Murcia offers accommodation ranging from 5-star hotels to low-cost pensions.
Famous city festivities include the Holy Week, the Spring Festival, and the folkloric ‘Bando de la Huerta’. If visiting Spain and Murcia during these dates, check the hotel availability with enough time in advance. The beaches of the ‘Costa Cálida’ can be reached in less than 40 minutes’ drive. Hotels between Murcia and the beach are the best way to enjoy both the city and the sea.

Storm Alice had made her presence felt a week or so before hand so watching the weather reports with our departure date from the UK heading ever closer was a bit of a concern. However, we were very lucky with the weather as the surrounding area was almost back to normal by the time we arrived in mid October with temperatures in the mid/high 20's by day and not much below 20 at night for the most part. The region of Murcia is full of culture, not that I've experienced it all yet - this is my 4th visit - The City of Cartagena is a must see. We stayed at Los Alcazares where there is what has always been a lovely beach on the calm waters of the Mar Menor, unfortunately, despite best efforts, work was still ongoing to restore it following the storm. That said, it was still usable and many did. Training flights by the Spanish air force based at San Javier add to the experience with the contrast of red aircraft against a bright blue sky. If you are into birds (the feathered kind) then do visit La Manga (the peninsular that encapsulates the waters of the Mar Menor). Driving to the far end we were able to access the area populated by flamingos and watch them in flight. There is so much more to see that my 4 visits has not yet covered and will definitely be going back for more. Maybe September next year.

We found Murcia fascinating.
We found Murcia fascinating. The historic centre had a great atmosphere. We climbed the bell tower of the cathedral on a guided tour. Visited the fully renovated Casino, the museum of Salzillo, the sculptor, the Veronica's market and lots of the squares which were full of life and flowers for Todos Santos. Walks along the river were enjoyable and the cuisine varied. People were friendly and helpful.

Murcia is a lovely, compact city. All main attractions are within easy walking distance.
Having visited the region many times over the years, this was our first time in the city. I would definitely return.
A great time to go in September as there is a big festival on in the main square and parades through the streets.
We visited all the main attractions, they were all easy to find and no need for public transport, as all in walking distance.

Murcia is a great city.
Murcia is a great city. Easy to get around with some lovely restaurants and bars to eat and drink. It is much less "touristy" than other cities in the region which adds to its charm. You will eat and drink mainly with locals in the bars and restaurants that are away from the tourist areas.
The cathedral and area around it is great for an evening walk and drink in one of the many bars, and the mercado de correos is worth a visit for an evening meal.

The contact person David was willing to help and assist at all times. Offered a substitute flat for a time when some minor technical issues were solved (didn't need it in the end). The apartment is fully equipped (microwave, cooking plates, kettle, fridge, toaster). The AC was functioning OK, we used it to heat the place (in February a necessity even in Spain). The position of the apartment is excellent, easy to reach many parts of the city easily.

Staff were extremely helpful and very approachable and spoke perfect English, consistent air conditioning through out the hotel including the room which was very clean and comfortable. Hotel only 15 minute walk/5 minute taxi from city center. Definitely would stay here again if I return to Murcia.

We loved how close it was to the centre of Murcia and next to the Cathedral and good cafes. Everything was in walking distance and the fact the hotel had a discounted arrangement for parking at a nearby underground car park made it so easy for us.
