Oliva feels like a typical Spanish beach town. Not too touristy and without the high-rise tower blocks of other areas. In Feb, the beach is quiet, perfect for peaceful walks. The old town has some picturesque spots, but the modern area of town is unremarkable.

We fell in love with Oliva.
We fell in love with Oliva. The old town is very romantic, winding streets, old houses, two beautiful churches and the charming St. Roch Square. The newer part is full of bars and restaurants, the beaches are not far away within walking distance (2 - 3 km) wide and sandy. Many options for shopping, shops are closed on Sundays. A water canal runs through the town, where many turtles and waterfowl live. There is a large bird sanctuary near Oliva. A little further on is Font Salada - a little thermal lake, where you can swim together with fish and a few ducks. The water is crystal clear.

Oliva is really lovely and there are other towns a short...
Oliva is really lovely and there are other towns a short drive away that are also worth exploring.
We travelled in August when it was very hot, but we'd like to return at a cooler time of year and go hiking in the huge, mountainous national park in this region.

Quiet and green resort .
Quiet and green resort . Place to have a rest and to be out of the city noise .& the urban life . Oliva Nova is a village at the seaside, green with palms and gardens , where we've disconected from the busy city . There are not many reastaurants /or bars to have lunch or dinner with the family . In fact there are only 2 bars to have lunch and/or dinner with the family . We should of drive by car 30 minutes to the nearby village s to have dinner in the restautants .

We found people in Oliva super relaxed and friendly. It was really hot when we visited - above 30C in early June and the many beaches around the area were all amazing!
We ate mostly at El Pelut which was up in the old town and served local food from breakfast to dinner (except siesta:-)
It's a nice little town, partly on the hill and it takes some effort to climb some streets in the heat but overall our stay was lovely.

A working town but with excellent beaches on its doorstep. Lovely old town area with Moorish influences. Has most shops and good restaurants. Gandia is only 10km away for all you need. Orange trees where ever you look in this region

Lovely big room with a pretty garden. A very nice man, Ximo?, checked us in and was very welcoming. This is the second time I've stayed here. Best hotel in the area.

The apartment is quite new, and modern. The pool is fantastic - we have been visiting Oliva Nova for over 12 years and this is probably the best pool we have had.
