Very relaxing and friendly vibe. Easy to walk all over the city from here. It's modest and budget friendly, exactly what we wanted, and chose, in the middle of a 6 months trip. Kind to the pocket, simple but very nice and with everything we needed. The location was the biggest bonus - we loved it.

Arrived in the dark so didnt see much, however next day gave us a pleasant surprise that the city centre was smart, good quality shopping, there was a film festival on and everyone looked wealthy. On our return visit 10 days later we enjoyed the main square bars, people watching and evening tapas sat outside the many bars and restaurants, great atmosphere

Great help from Tourist Information Office staff. Lovely town with a cathedral, riverside walks, thermal pools and good bars/restaurants.
I would return!
Outariz Thermal Baths/Spa, a short walk along the river was wonderful - the reception staff were helpful and genuinely interested in my visit.

What a pleasant surprise!!!
What a pleasant surprise!!! Have spent a lot time in southern Spain and Never made it to the north and it was great. Not overrun with tourists. We only heard English a few times in the streets. Old town was a lot of fun to explore. Felt completely safe in the streets late at night. Friendly people al always willing to help, very refreshing.

It's a lively city, and Outariz onsen was really wonderful!
It's a lively city, and Outariz onsen was really wonderful! But January is not the best time to go. Weather was cold and rainy, most Thermal springs were closed, and the Thermal train was down as well, making it extremely difficult and frustrating to get there and back.

Ourense has a very relaxing pace.
Ourense has a very relaxing pace.
One can visit the many historic places, eat well and enjoy the thermal baths.
The people are pleasant and open.
Recommendation for restaurants is to book in advance.
Or enjoy las calles de los vinos and some pinchos.

The city is very pleasant.
Since it was August and it was very hot, you don't see anyone out, it's like a ghost town, but arround 9pm the whole city comes to live and the Casco Viejo get's full of people.
The city is very walkable.

Everything is neat and clean, you can see the difference after some hotels of the same level. The stuff is very welcoming and supportive. The breakfast is nice, if a set of two toasts, drink and one fruit is enough for you. It served in Cafeteria just the next door. As far as I get, the place is popular among local people looking for morning coffee. The hotel located in the city center, so you can easily walk around.
