Lovely place for a disconnect from the usual daily grind. Warm staff, lovely facilities, fantastic chef for our lunch meal (seriously, the highlight of the stay, unexpectedly good meal for such a small place!), nice wines, peace and quiet, what more can you ask for. There are only 8 rooms, all in the same building and facing vineyards. We got one of the two suites which are bigger but it seemed the other rooms were also very nice, just a bit smaller (also had a small outside terrace and views on the vines).

Juan and his daughter Christina have fully renovated Los Canilleros B&B, a house dating back to 1859, to the highest level. We had a deluxe room. It was spacious, well outfitted and very quiet as is the town of Requena. The bathroom was roomy and exceptionally clean. Breakfast each morning was prepared with care and we were always greeted by either Christina or Juan. There is ample parking available. A highlight was seeing the cave at the house. It has been restored in the same manner as the house and is a must see! We appreciated Juan organizing a tour of the caves at the main square as well.

Everything was great! The location was nearby the main sights and it had some restaurants, pubs and bars nearby. The host was truly attentive and she also recommended some places to have lunch/dinner and to buy some local stuff. I absolutely recommend it!

We were just stopping overnight on a long road trip and didn't realize what a gem Requena was. We wished we had booked some winery cave tours in advance. The town has tiny streets and so much charm!

We visited for a visit to bodega Murviedro.

We visited for a visit to bodega Murviedro. The hotel Los Canilleros was wonderful, round the corner from the Bodega and a lovely square with great places to eat and drink. One night and 2 days and everything was fantastic.

Requena is a lovely town with a medieval centre.

Requena is a lovely town with a medieval centre. It's an ideal place to base yourself for visiting the wine producers many of who do tours. Murviedro, a top wine producer, have a visitors centre right in the middle of town which is well worth a visit. There are many places to eat and drink and you can get to Requena from València by train or bus in a couple of hours We went to a fantastic restaurant called La Dispensa de Sofia which turned out to be a favourite with many if the local winemakers, who we ended up having a drink with!

We stayed in the old town for 3 nights. 2 nights might be...

We stayed in the old town for 3 nights. 2 nights might be enough for some. We pre-booked a wine tour of one of the many vineyards locally. There are limited facilities in the old town. 2 small hotels with restaurants and many Casa Rurals/bed and breakfasts. Maybe a couple of other eating establishments (which were closed when we were there mid week). No food shops and only one or two places to buy/taste wine. The new town is unremarkable but only a short walk away as are other cafes and bars.

Everything was perfect, The first time I stayed there and told my family it was a Motel they were horrified. Then I explained how it was. Very clean , safe, and the food was amazing. I would highly recomend the Hotel Motel Sol 11
