Great resort place, west village right next to husky farm and horse farm. Decent planetarium also, but they need to learn a bit about running these shows :).
Do install the Aurora app if you are there for this. The Aurora alarm in rooms don't work, or atleast didn't work for me.

Saariselka is a wonderland in winter.
Saariselka is a wonderland in winter. You can easily get all the required things such as food from K-market. There are lots of activities you can do in Saariselka such as skiing, snowshoeing, Ice Karting, bowling, Aurora Hunting tours, etc. You can easily reach here from Rovaniemi City by using public bus. There is a Ski bus that runs between Saariselka village and Saarselka Ski resort. I did my beginner ski lesson here. It was great. I spent my Christmas holidays here and most things are available to do. I did my skiing on Christmas day itself.

We spent a total of 7 days in Lapland. 2 near Ivalo, 3 in Kiilopaa, 2 in Saariselka proper. As a family some liked Ivalo better, others Kiilopaa, and others Saariselka. We stayed for 7 days to maximize our chances to see the Northern Lights and were fortunate to see them for 2 nights in a row. If we weren’t concerned about seeing Northern Lights, in terms of special “Lapland specific” experiences, I would have been satisfied with maybe 2 or 3 nights (husky, reindeer, snowmobile, ice fishing). But, if you spend extra days, there’s plenty to do — ice karting, cross country ski, snow shoe-Ing, ski/snowboarding, Siida museum, etc.

Amazing resort away from the hustle and bustle and commerciality of busier Lapland resorts. Lovely nature walks, lots of family activities like husky rides, skiing, snow shoeing etc. and very cost accommodation.

Saariselka was fabulous in August, there were very few other tourists around so it was lovely and quiet.
Lots of people drive up to the highest point for the sunset but our Glass Cube was just a few hundred metres away, on the other side of the hill, so we could just saunter up to enjoy the view. Met reindeer on the way back.

Its very very Beautiful ,Do the Northern Lights chasing & the Husky Rides with Arctic Timetravels . They are the best. Saariselka is Untouched, amazing & virgin. Difficult to express in words as you should visit to feel the place, its Heaven on Earth.

We had an absolutely great stay at this apartment in Saariselkä! It truly offered everything we needed for a comfortable and memorable trip. A well-equipped kitchen, and a private sauna which was wonderful, providing a great way to relax and warm up after a day of adventuring. The apartment is perfectly situated, making it easy to explore around Saariselkä. We especially appreciated its close proximity to the stunning Urho Kekkonen National Park, where we spent time exploring the beautiful snowy mountains.

This is an amazing place. Close enough to Saariselka to have everything (shops, ski resort and general infrastructure), but far enough to be on our own in the middle of Lapland. Yes, this is one of the places where you can actually see the northern lights from your front door.
Besides that the apartment is suuuper functional, we could've easily lived here months without missing anything. One of the best places we've ever been!

Everything is well equipped for "live" in saariselkä.
Location is also great ! 10min walk to supermarket. We acrossed on the frozen lake in front of apartment to go shopping. It was great experience!
The owner is really helpful and gentle and quick response.
Highly recommend!!

Great little apartment in a perfect location in Saariselka. Really clear instructions, plus code for the key box, provided in advance. The kitchen was very well equipped. I was happy that bed linen and towels were included in the price.
