Fantastic homestay, lovely hosts who cook amazing food so you'll never go hungry. They are in the midst of upgrading so can only get better. It's a newer homestay, so not many people know about it, making this a massive hidden gem. Highly underrated and absolutely should be a place to go if you're coming to this island.

I can’t recommend this place enough! Lise & her family were such welcoming hosts. They we’re so friendly and made sure we were taken care of. The food they cooked was super fresh & delicious! It is by no means a resort, the accommodations are simple but it is clean and you feel at home! Plus the location is amazing!

The location is paradise on Earth, with a beautiful bay full of light blue and turquoise colors, white sand, a clean sea, palm trees, like in the posters we put on the wall, where we want to go. The bay in front of the resort is good for swimming without corals and rocks, and you don't need water shoes. Corals are very close by, so you can do diving and snorkeling as well. I stayed in a hostel, because I wanted to stay longer and not pay too much for accommodation. The dorm is actually a very spacious room, divided into a few beds by small walls, so you have enough space for luggage and a wonderful view of the bay each morning. It is clean and well-ventilated. The resort is aesthetically decorated in a natural manner, and there is always nice, not too loud Fijian music in the background. You can see in the garden very interesting sculptures made from coconut shells and wood. Gardeners are real artists. There are some activities, like swimming in caves, learning about local medicine plants, weaving palm tree baskets, and a visit to a local village. There is a small concert with a cava ceremony on Sundays. All activities are done by staff from the resort. Those are multi-talented people with a great hospitality attitude. Food is good and healthy. They have a cute doggie, Rosie, and a friendly cat, Chrissy. The main management staff gives them food to eat and cleans them of parasites. They also have goats right behind the resort, and you can go to see them, too. Everyone is nice and approachable. Even though this is a tourism resort, and of course, money is important, in the Oarsman, somehow, you feel they take care of the well-being of guests, and you feel a personal connection with the staff. You see them, they see you, so you have some feelings about authentic Fijian people, and that they have good care about you. As a solo female traveler in a foreign land and a distant island, I felt safe. All in all, a right measure of everything for a wonderful vacation.

Nabua lodge is a beautiful property and the staff are kind and welcoming. The beach was really relaxing. There are hammocks to relax in and it was so quiet. The meals were plentiful and tasty. The WiFi is so so but do you really need it going to a place like the Yasawas? The boat trip to the caves was well worth it and also to Blue Lagoon to go snorkeling. The snorkeling just off the beach is not the best re: coral but there are still plenty of things to see. I saw tons of fish and a spotted ray! The sunset viewpoint is absolutely stunning and you get the whole ridge to enjoy the view and listen to the Fijian Whistlers making their sunset songs. Highly recommend staying here!

Unique experience, living in a village among the community. Unbelievably beautiful beach, reefs and sunsets. Worth the minor challenges of a simple hut, variable food, outhouse and cold showers. Bring a ball or some watercolors to play with all the kids!

We wanted a homestay run by locals, so we got an authentic experience. No roads, no cars, only walking tracks and hiking trails. Wonderful. They are isolated, so no shop, I would recommend taking sachet coffees etc if you like more than instant. If you get inspired to want to help them (as I was) you could think of taking snorkelling flippers and leaving them there, or packraft paddles (they come apart), or a yoghurt maker and powder packets to make yoghurt. Some books, games, or big maps of Yasawa. We had a week, which was just right....but didn't get to do all the activities we intended to. Too nice being relaxed and even lazy. The ferry ride there is fun and interesting and they supply complimentary transfers to and from accommodation. South Sea Cruises. Apparently there is a supply boat from Lautoka once a week which is much cheaper.

I liked the relaxing vibe of the place, was nice just to chill in the bure or hammock or do activities like kayaking or hiking the trail over the hills, which is a great photo opportunity overlooking other fijian islands.

    Nacula Island is gorgeous.

Nacula Island is gorgeous. It has pristine white sand beaches and wonderful snorkeling right off the beaches. There is also good hiking trails to explore and get a birds eye view of the island. There are 4 villages on the island. We visited Nasisili Village and brought Kava Root to the Chief. We were welcomed into his home and village. We also brought school supplies for the children and the Chief's daughter later distributed the supplies to the children and sent us pictures.

Nacula (pronounced na-th-ula) is an incredible place to stay. It's the last stop for accomodation on the Yasawa Flyer. It has a home reef you can snorkel at, with plentiful and diverse sea life, including an elusive turtle, and colourful and varied coral. Hiking is available and easy to get to, with trail heads and trail easy to find and follow. There are caves which you can visit and swim in a short boat ride away. The local village allows people to attend the church service at a low cost. It is a wonderful place to rest and rejuvenate.
