FranceThe room was very comfortable, the setting and garden lovely, and the staff, superb. The restaurant serves excellent cuisine in a refined but warm environment. The hotel is a quick drive to the towns on the coast but in the summer must provide a welcome retreat from the crowds and commerce.

United StatesL’auberge was a haven for us! A respite before we headed back home. Our hosts were so welcoming. The restaurant had a refreshing selection of food and drinks. It was excellent! No need to go out for dinner or lunch, and yet we felt like travelers. The location very special. Even though we know other places in Pays Basque, this one is unsurpassed!

United StatesOur favorite part of this visit was the friendliness and helpfulness of the entire Madison staff. They clearly explained everything, from spa hours, to breakfast options, and reception hours. It was very nice to have the option to get coffee all day on the balcony! The beds were SO COMFORTABLE! The breakfast buffet was a deal, with many options and delicious coffee! The rooms were spotless and had everything we needed! We could even cast our phone apps to watch english tv! Wifi worked very well. And finally, the location was close to everything! The harbour, the beach, shopping, grocery, and historical buildings. We will be back, and The Madison is where we will stay.
