SwitzerlandThey gave us TWO room cards for two people! It’s so rare for hotels to provide this simple curtesy - very happy. The facilities were good and clean. Good shower, small balcony. Everything you need, but nothing fancy. Decent location, beach barely in walking distance. Breakfast was decent and theres a restaurant if you don’t feel like going out. Parking conveniently available at no extra charge. Fun decor which spices up the usually boring insides of hotels. And did I mention, they gave EACH person a room key?!?

Hotel is across from the beach on a strip filled with restaurants, bars, supermarket, day vegetable market, night tchotchkes market. Nice airy balcony to sit outside.

SerbiaWe were fascinated with the inovative and neat room. Yes, it is a budget hotel, therefore affordable, but cosy, clean, and with all amenities you may need for a short stay. Vending machines in the lobby, so you can grab a coffee, drink or snack, but there is an option to have breakfast. Parking is safe and vast. Reception is open non-stop, we needed a good break on our way home, and checked in at 1am. It is easy to get there and return to motorway.

Enjoyed swimming, walking along the sea front and the ports and having coffee overlooking the sea front. Didn’t really see the uphill historic part, which I regret. The Tourist office at Saint Raphael was helpful as I needed a bus timetable. I’d say you need to be reasonably fit ( or have a car) to stay in the area I was in as in fact buses were few and far between so I did a lot of walking. I was on an Interrail pass so also enjoyed a little side trip out to Nice, which has good and frequent rail links with Saint Raphael.

Clean beaches, friendly people, good selection of shops in the various areas. Plenty of historic places to visit if you are so inclined. We were there during some celebration and there were fireworks at night, and a lovely night-market along the waterfront

Lovely place!!
Lovely place!! We ate at the beach restuarant `l'Alba Plage Frejus and the setting, food and service was wonderful. You can literally hear the waves from where you are sitting - highly recommended!

Gorgeous little town easily accessible by train. Probably touristy in the summer but, in February, it was wonderfully quiet. There seems to be a small square at every turn with cafes and shops galore. The cathedral is stunning and was built in the 5th century!!

Very interesting town, full of Roman remains and only 20 minutes to the beaches at St. Raphael. A much cheaper alternative to staying anywhere on the coast. For around €2 you can get the Zou! bus to St.Maxim and St Tropez (38Km/c.25Miles) - it takes about 90 minutes and hugs the coast.

The Horus Hotel screwed us all.
The Horus Hotel screwed us all. We paid via booking.com but the Hotel denied any record and said they didn't have enough rooms for our party, yet they accepted other un-booked guests. Three of us had to share 1 room. We then had to pay again!
Sort it out booking.com as so far you have entirely failed to respond!

Really helpful staff, providing practical information such as public transport, restaurants etc.
They seem to have thought of everything. For example if you need a parasol and chair for the beach, which is 100 metres away, then they have them available for you.
Villa Romana is also close to Frejus Port, with a wide selection of restaurants A well stocked supermarket is a few yards away and there is an excellent boulangerie to pick up the best bread or you can pick up a coffee and pastry there.

Breakfast was not included - that was clear when we booked. The appartment was reasonably sized, and had an semi outdoor terrace with table and chairs for breakfast. No view at the harbor but I do not remember that being advertised - so that was fine. Kim was very flexible with the handover of the keys on rather short notice as we were ahead schedule on our trip to Frejus. That was definately a bonus.

The hotel is perfectly fine for a three star. The pool was fabulous, breakfast was great and had a very delicious lunch. Great staff and very helpful.
