United KingdomNice old building done up to a modern spec, the staff very kindly gave me a free upgrade to a larger room that had a steam shower, whirlpool bathtub, nice mini body lotions, good soap, really comfy bed and plenty of space. The room was absolutely spotless, lighting was nice and calm, I was able to dim all the lights and create a cozy space after a tiring journey. Lastly, the staff were lovely and I appreciated the free airport pick-up.

Easy check-in taking the keys from a safe box. Location perfect in Saint Louis, if you use it as base for visiting Basel and Weil am Rhein, 150 m from Gare de Saint Louis, with trains to Basel and Colmar/ Strasbourg, and a tram direct to Basel downtown. We didn't see the owner, but he was present all the time, asking if we need something. Highly recommended.

I am French so I was happy to stay in France while visiting Basel. Because of the poor experience we had in the apartment, we moved to another one in Switzerland. We found a very charming village with beautiful architecture and nature around. Switzerland must have been wealthier than this part of France for a long time and it shows.

Small relaxed hotel in centre of Saint Louis, spotlessly clean, lovely staff, have stayed here on a few occasions, hotel provides a free shuttle service to Basel Mulhouse Airport. Hotel is in a central location, lots of restaurants and bars nearby plus added bonus of a bakery just next door

From the moment we checked in, Mary, at reception, greeted us with her friendly professional and exceptional hospitality. We were early, but Mary found immediate accommodations for us which was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. Mary even escorted us to our room. A first for me. Breakfast, included in stay, was delightful too. We will of course be recommending booking for all of our family & friends, and anyone else who may travel to Basil, Switzerland. Loved our stay from beginning to checkout.

The reception and check-in were OK.
The reception and check-in were OK. However, upon arriving at the 2nd-floor corridor, the strong smell of air fresheners or cleaning products was quite unpleasant. Entering the room, the smell was again unpleasant, reminiscent of an old and unclean carpet. Cleanliness is definitely not their strongest aspect; the floor was dirty and covered with a cheap, smelly carpet. Additionally, the room in general, and the toilet area in particular, were worn out and poorly maintained.
I stayed in a room with two single beds. One mattress was saggy and uncomfortable, so I switched to the second bed, which was better.
The location is perfect if you want to visit Basel. The staff at the front desk were nice and helpful, and the breakfast was good. There is also a nice supermarket and bakery just across the road.

We reached the property at night and received a call from...
We reached the property at night and received a call from the host prior, who was very friendly.
Once we reached the property, we weren't able to locate the exact apartment nor find the right parking lot. Thanks to a neighbour who helped in getting us to the property and also advised us to park in one of parking allotted space whichever is free.

Very much ‘budget’.
Very much ‘budget’. No air conditioning at night (started up in morning). Bed hard as a rock. WiFi not connecting to internet. Basic TV channels with no foreign language service. No tea/coffee making facilities. Was a Plus that windows opened on a hot night. Staff courteous, some with English. No where near airport. Did offer free pickup one way only. Took an age to arrive. Not close to rail station either. Would not stay there again

Perfect location for those in transit, 2 minutes from the train station and 10 minutes by bus number 11 from the airport. The bus runs from 5.20 am until 11.20 pm with a frequency of 15-20 minutes. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly

Good size room with kitchenette. Dog friendly hotel. Very close to the boarder (50m) and tram to the centre of Basel. Approximately 10-15min walk to the centre of Saint Louis. Parking on-site is possible at a cost of 10 Euro per day.
