United KingdomPort view room with balcony was a brilliant choice as we could make our own meals when we wanted using the nearby shops and have as good a view and table as any restaurant. Pool was brilliant and never busy. Breakfast was also brilliant as we were able to sit outside opposite the boats. There was a complete infrastructure around the hotel, bars, restaurants, baker, supermarket which we hadn't realised so there was no need to travel into St Raphael itself (a 20 min walk). In fact St Raphael people seemed to be coming to the port area as it was so good. The bus connection was a real bonus. There were 3 buses you could get (the 21 into town - 5mins, the C right up to old Roman Frejus where we used to stay on hols and the Promenade bus (free!!) which goes to the end of new Frejus port. Really quick, cheap and frequent enough when you timed it right. We used them a lot. 20 mins walk + more to go further might not seem much but in 28 degree heat and at our age it's hard going so the buses were a real bonus. We did side trips to St Tropez (boat) Cannes and Monaco (bus + train) and it was a doddle. We are planning this as our Cote D'azur base from now on. Great to stay at, easy to get to (Train plus one of the 3 buses) and really well priced and a much better option than paying over the odds for much less at one of the larger more well known resorts.

Beautiful city that felt safe and clean. Easy to drive around and walk around right on the sea. Wonderful shops and restaurants. We especially like La Renaissance and their French food.
The Christmas cheer was everywhere with music, market chalets and good vibes for the holiday.

Saint Raphael has been re modernised and revamped therefore it is becoming very stylish and chic. It is not quite finished as they are working on Frejus now which connects to Saint Raphael but we love how the city is looking now.

We like to fly into Nice and head to Saint Raphael as it’s a large coastal town with a harbour but smaller than Nice and beautiful promenade and many restaurants . I can swim in the sea everyday and grab the sun . It’s a lovely town . Very easy to grab a bus for day trips to other places or a train. We love heading to St Tropez for a day trip . A lovely bus trip . Cheap and great views of the coastline . Also Agay is beautiful resort . You could do Cannes . I’m not sure as regards nightlife as we are are here to relax . There is a harbour and yachts aplenty . So there are options to indulge in sea/ water activities . There is a Monoprix supermarket on same street as large church and few minutes into front of train station . Various Pharmacies . (Important to note that as of this year you cannot purchase strong painkillers from a pharmacy in France . It’s by presciption only . So if you need or require some ensure you take them with you .) .great boulangeries and cheesemongers . There’s also a fruit , veg , Fish market worth a visit . Saint Raphael is all walkable and I spotted many visitors who were wheelchair users . So access appears to be good here .
We usually return to Nice for 2or 3 days for more of a city vibe .

Great market. Excellent butches. Good train links to other towns on the coast. Ferry well worth using to Saint Tropez. Taxis helpful and reasonably priced.
The town, beach and services are lovely, nice to walk round. Good shopping too.

I've been scammed by the host. She offered a place free of smoke and it was full of smoke all the apartment, also she was smoking in the living room when we arrived.
I'm allergic and I couldn't sleep all night.

They should have bicycles to rent close to the tourismo centre
We walked 40minutes to a bike rent given by the tourism
Got there to a house with noboby after phoning and telling us they are there.
This was time wasted with nobody there and had to ealk back 40mintes.
If you are tourist inclined, get the people with renting bikes or scooters closer to the centre or tourism office. It only makes sense doesnt it?
Overall the French should brush up on their English and not be so rude. The past is the past.English is an international language.France was not a good experience. The French attitude are unacceptable and this we heard from other travelers at the train station from America,Scotland, Poland.We are South Africans.
They are abrupt, not helpfull and a stink attitude st the train stations,Taxis etc which leaves a bad taste. Saint Raphael is beautiful but should do more to advertise their market times and tourist excursions in English. Have a Tuk tuk service etc.

Superb staff. So friendly and helpful. Great location for visiting Saint Maxime or Saint Tropez. Saint Raphael has so much to offer, beach, restaurants, all of which are within walking distance.
