United StatesWe just stayed for one night at the Portishead Chef and Brewer on our travels. The family room was lovely and spacious with 3 good sized beds for the four of us to sleep in. The attached bathroom was gorgeous and very clean. The location was convenient for walking into the town for dinner, and for walking to the rocky beach behind the venue to look at the sea and over to Wales. The staff were very attentive to any needs as well. I would recommend staying here.

From Brunel to Banksy!
Britain’s 4th most popular visitor destination, Bristol boasts Brunel’s magnificent Clifton Suspension Bridge spanning the River Avon. More Brunel handiwork is in the harbour where his SS Great Britain steamship is moored. Pirate walks here detail the city’s underground naval history.
Further north in Clifton is the world’s oldest zoo outside a capital city. Other Bristol attractions include At-Bristol Museum and the Grade I-listed Corn Exchange with its 4 "nails" outside where money changed hands. Also worth a visit is St Nicholas Market, in a Georgian square home to several bars and a Slow Food Market on the 1st Sunday of every month. Other Bristol shopping options include shopping centres at Cabot Circus, and Cribbs Causeway on the outskirts.
As a student city, Bristol really comes to life after dark. The live music scene here is fantastic and has given way to several internationally known bands, but for something more alternative head to Eastside.
Another option for alternative-seekers is the work of hometown street artists Banksy. Just like Booking.com’s Bristol accommodation, his work is spread throughout this fabulous city.
This Gateway to the West Country is served by Bristol Airport and Temple Meads train station. The old Bristol to Bath railway line is now a cycle route and makes a great day trip.

Great historical City, although not designed for drivers. In terencial rain at night you may struggle to see the road markings.
It is not easy at night to walk around, unless you stay on one side of the Main Street. The way to get across the the road is through the underpass on the main round about anyone want to chance this.

For those who enjoy beer, Bristol is excellent for breweries. Just there for 2 days so no new ones to add but we did get to 2 really good ones: Wiper and True, and Left Handed Giant Brewpub.
Walks along the Avon and the harbour are very enjoyable but we had too much rain for too much strolling about....

I would describe Bristol as a very diverse City with plenty of things to do and see. Other than getting a bus to the Clifton Bridge we walked
everywhere which is something my family are used to . Others might find this challenging as Bristol is not flat but there are buses everywhere that seem to charge £2.50p for every journey ? We used a number of restaurants in the City including Hole in the Wall and Bar and Block. Each venue provided us with a very good meal. Younger persons than myself like might to try the two escape rooms in Cabot Circus which I am told are very good.

Comfortable bed (and large as we had a super long size bed), polite and friendly staff. We had lounge access which was excellent - complimentary soft drinks during the day and beer/wine between 5:30-7:30pm plus some canapé food items. Great location for Bristol city centre and right next door to an NCP car park, for which the hotel gives discounted overnight parking.
I found the hotel to be noisey from the outside noise, the curtains let quite a bit of light in around them as well.

The location was great. Access to the city centre was a short bus journey away and there are local shops including a supermarket within walking distance.
The receptionist was very helpful when we had issues with our room type and meal order.
The interior decor is beautiful and very clean, and the exterior is also very impressive.
The bonus was free parking, and the hotel is located outside the Bristol Clean Air Zone.

We were attendind a party in Bristol City Centre so the location was perfect! - The hotel is really well maintained, clean and peaceful. The stairwells are a little tiered and could do with sprucing up! (We only used the stairs once when the lift was busy).
The bar food was delicious as was the breakfast. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
Would definately stay in this hotel again.
