The breakfast is the best ever especially the royal eggs! The location was perfect, close for walking anywhere in town! And the street terrace was wonderful for a sundowner in the beautiful sunshine! I Can only praise everything and everyone at this Hotel!

Everything! From start to finish the staff was kind, friendly, attentive and exceedingly helpful. The room was perfect; nice, updated and comfortable. The English breakfast was delicious. Coffee was superb. It was in an ideal spot for our next day cruise. I would go back there any time!!! Thank you Ennios!

We were pleasantly surprise with our stay. We were just there for 1 night pre-cruise but loved this hotel. The room and bed was very comfortable and clean. We loved the bar/ restaurant on the main floor and all staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect for the cruise terminal and there were great restaurants and bars a short walk away. We would absolutely stay her again should the occasion arise.

Cozy room, bathroom, bed. Amazing view from the window. Clean and modern well designed hotel. Good restaurant and bar on the 6th floor is also very good. SPA is quite small but the terrace is beautiful with all those yachts just next to it makes up the size. We had nice celebration of our anniversary and my birthday. Two greeting cards waited for us in the room near the complementary chocolate. it was pleasant.

The staff was very well coming and attentive. They even upgraded our room. The most surprising and pleasant thing was when we got champagne with a cake in the room. We were so moved and excited . Historic Port of Walls

Departure point for Isle of Wight ferries and grand cruise liners including the Queen Mary 2, Southampton is understandably centred around its port. But even if you’re passing through, the city has more than enough to make you want to stay awhile. The Hythe Ferry from the port passes Netley, site of a ruined abbey, and ends at Hythe Pier, home to the world’s oldest pier train.

There is much older history in the city centre where the 15th-century city walls are amongst the most complete in England. Also remaining is the medieval Bargate gatehouse.

Just behind is the Bargate Shopping Centre, while high street stores in the city centre and West Quay are other Southampton shopping choices. As for entertainment, the city is well served by theatres, and Oxford Street has the best bars and restaurants. All are easily reached from the apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Southampton available on Booking.com.

There is also a surprising amount of green space in the city and its central parks are Grade II-listed. Slightly further out is Southampton Common, whose Urban Wildlife Centre is worth a visit.

If you’re flying out of Southampton Airport, don’t leave without having visited the Maritime Museum or Archaeology Museum, both detailing the history of this long-established city.

Terrible Experience – Definitely Not a 4-Star Hotel & I Will Never Return My stay at this hotel was completely unacceptable. This place is nowhere near a 4-star standard. I was left uncomfortable and disturbed during what was supposed to be a private stay, with no heating for over five hours, no way to contact staff, and outdated, poorly maintained facilities. Nothing was explained at check-in—no QR code, no information, nothing. I had zero support when issues occurred, and the response I received afterwards was dismissive and unprofessional. This stay caused significant inconvenience and distress, and the hotel’s refusal to offer proper compensation shows a complete lack of care for guests. I will never return, and I strongly advise others to think twice before booking.

Great shopping centre, John Lewis is exceptional.

Great shopping centre, John Lewis is exceptional. Ate out at 3 restaurants in walking distance from the Hotel, all excellent. Figurati, great food and atmosphere. La Regata - Tapas, delicious and the Pig in the Wall, very comfortable and great bowl of soup.

Wow has Southampton changed over the past 50 years.

Wow has Southampton changed over the past 50 years. I am still able to find my way around and the history that is preserved is welcome. It’s sad to see beggars on the street in the city centre but the variety of shops makes the experience excellent. It’s very much an alive city centre buzzing with people, it definitely doesn’t suggest Southampton has a problem with their city centre dying, very far from it.

Only in Southampton for one night theatre trip. Would consider staying longer and book again. Accommodation requires some updating but perfectly adequate for our stay. Southampton has a lot to do, especially worth visiting the Mayflower Theatre.

We did the Walking Titanic Tour!

We did the Walking Titanic Tour! It was fabulous… we learned so much! Great pub area within walking distance. You can walk to the port area from the hotel where we boarded our ship. We didn’t walk with our luggage but booked an Uber and arrived to the shop I. Less than 10 minutes!

This was a cheaper hotel so you get what you pay for. It was an older building so our room was very pokey and old fashioned but it was very clean. The guy at reception was very helpful. The breakfast was very cheap and yummy. It was great value for money. So glad we ate there. It was easy distance to the cruise terminal. We walked there the next morning with ease.

Very clean environment cleaner than some hotels. Mostly quiet. Was nice to have access to a kitchen and a fridge. I was able to cook a breakfast on the last morning and I used kitchen utensils which were provided. The shops were not a long walk and they were near the station and a bus stop leading into town centre of Southampton.

Excellent location for our over night stay, and close to the cruise terminal next morning for our holiday cruise which only took 10 minutes from leaving the hotel to the cruise Terminal at Southampton Mayflower Terminal. )
