This is in my opinion the best location for a stay in Amorgos. The village has everything you need including a lovely sandy beach, great selection of bars and restaurants and a good mix of accommodation. Great walking can be had in the hills behind, exploring villages and amazing views. You can get a ferry direct to the port, but it depends which company you go with. Many only drop in Katapola in which case you will need to get a bus/taxi or hire a car. The island is in fact very long, so a car is a good idea in any case

Great beaches and a hillwalkers paradise. Around Aegiali there is a coastal trail to several beaches, there are trails to two nearby mountain villages which are connected by another trail between them, one has a trail to a high mountain church which could be difficult for vertigo sufferers. There is another longer trail running down the spine of the island which I intend to go back and do. Beach photo taken from taverna at Lebressos, Aegiali port in distance. Other two are Stavros church high on Krikellos and section of path to get there.

We really enjoyed our time in Aegiali.
We really enjoyed our time in Aegiali. We had a great place to stay in with amazing views of the water and sunsets. The beach is very close as are the hiking trails. So many great restaurants in Aegiali. We also really appreciated that it was peaceful and everyone was friendly. Many come here to hike the trails and we took advantage of this exploring the surrounding villages.

Great location to stay at.
Great location to stay at. Beach is big and sandy, great for families. Plenty of options for bars, cafes and restaurants. Great villages close by, our favorite was Lagkada. The main town is about half an hour away with lots of turns and twists.

Beautiful little town on a stunning island. Great beach and really good cafes and restaurants. I went for the hiking, there were 2 or 3 really good well marked trails but one I tried was really hard to follow.

A great place to stay. A great beach on the doorstep and several others a reasonable walk away. Loads of eating and drinking places.
Really good for walkers. Some challenging hikes, but also more gentle walks. Usually these are on wonderful cobbled 'donkey' trails.

The hotel itself was fabulous, communal area and pool was really lovely. Welcome and breakfast all very good. We think they may have a couple of renovated rooms but unfortunately we didn’t have one of these. Our bathroom was particularly tired. On reflection for what we paid it didn’t feel good value for money based on that room only, if we had had one of the renovated rooms as shown on the internet we would have felt differently.

We really enjoyed our stay at Amorgi studios. Beautiful location and view of the Aegialis bay, easy access to beaches and the village. The kids were very happy about the access to the pool area at the nearby Aegialis Hotel & Spa, and super friendly staff and hosts helping us with all kind of inquires to ensure a great Amorgos experience. The studios were clean, comfortable with a lovely terrace overlooking the ocean.

The location is perfect and close to all the amenities of Aegiali. The house is charming, comfy and spacious enough for a family of four. From the terrace, the view on the bay is great and you always have enough air as the house is located on the hillside. Besides, the owner is responsive and attentive to his guests. In case of any problem, the owner's agent (living in the village) is there to help you.

A great stay in a very good spot in Aegiali village/bay, Giannis was there to greet us and to provide us with useful information about eating out and beaches, all with a lovely smile. The room was clean and very adequate and the bed very, very comfortable. We had a lovely view to the sea (though lower floors do not enjoy this view). All in all, we loved this place and would definitely come back.

Location terrific. We got to the Studios very early after the ferry was cancelled. We were accommodated immediately into a lovely apartment where we could spend the extra day at Aegialis and hire out a little car. The next day we could leave very early for the ferry.
