Elafonisi beach is just a 8 min drive away, and there is another beautiful local beach which is walking distance. The tavernas in the area phenomenal, the most delicious food. The apartment itself is perfect too, really modern and clean. Everything works really well. We really enjoyed our stay, and will definitely rebook when we visit crete again.

The beach is amazing, one of the most beautiful we've ever visited. Water is turquoise and sand is truly pink at the water's edge. Loved long walks, shore swims and the sand was amazing. Next to the beach is a conservation area that is really lovely and I enjoyed the walk! Walk across the relatively shallow water to the island to the right of the main beach. Get there early especially on weekends else all the lounge chairs will be taken! Do NOT park at the first parking lot as you enter town, the rates are MUCH higher than the $5 lot that comes next!

If you don’t stay overnight in the village and come by car, there are plenty of parking spots (3–5 € per day). The beach is beautiful — best to visit early in the morning (8–11) or later in the afternoon (16–19) when it’s less crowded. A small disadvantage is that there are only two tavernas nearby, and the mini market sells water at a higher price than elsewhere in Crete.

It's a nice beach and especially good if you are traveling with young children since the water is shallow and warm.
For my personal taste the main beach is too crowded and touristy and would prefer quieter more rugged beaches, but it was a great destination traveling as a family with a toddler because it was safe and clean and we were staying at a hotel within walking distance from the beach.

Great beach with varied water levels and temperatures from 20 to 30o C in the summer I’d say. Walk and swim around to find your perfect spot. The sand is wet in most of the places. A lot of nature but heavily visited especially on Mondays and Tuesdays from what it seemed to is during our stay. Two beach bars, two restaurants above, several room rental places, two supermarkets and some shops. Prices are a bit high from Crete, especially in the supermarkets, but still good options.
The connection to Kissamos and Chaina is not bad, please not there is a new motorway section in the mountains that bypasses Topolia and its gorge tunnel that is not in Google maps yet.

Elafonissi beach is truly spectacular.
Elafonissi beach is truly spectacular. Definitely worth a visit. The beach is very crowded. The only alternative beach within a radius of 20 km has natural shade from trees (convenient in the wind). In case of wind, it is also quite crowded.

Elafonissi beach is beautiful but can get very crowded. Paddle over to the island for more secluded areas. It is well worth the effort
The taverna at Elafonissi village is excellent value for food and drinks with friendly staff who never make you feel hurried

What a fabulous location! The view from the cute outdoor area is amazing - a perfect spot to sit in the evening sun. The room is very clean and cute. Although, small it's perfect for a few nights and great to be able to explore Elafonisi before and after the crowds. A couple of lovely tavernas are a short walk away. The track from the road is well signposted and easy to drive.

We had wonderful time at Elafonisi thanks to our great host George. Apartment is walking distance from iconic beach. Lovely surprise on arrival first kit breakfast, lots of fruit, water. Really thank you for that. We will definitely come back😉

Great hotel, room was very comfortable, staff welcoming and friendly, lovely view of beach!! Very helpful we could leave car there next day while we went to the beach. Restaurant had good traditional food!
