Was wonderful to be able to have early checkin & the room was ready round 11am especially after our arrival by bus on a hot day! 🫶 Love everything here: the location, the staff, the olive trees, the public wc, changing room, and simple outdoor shower that we could still use after checkout the next day after visiting the beach.

If your main reason is to visit Elafonisi for few days you cant go wrong with this apartment. It is clean, perfectly located, there is a shop just around the corner and parking for guests. In the rom there was coffe machine, electric kettle and set of cutlery and cups. You also get a cloth dryer and a set of garden furniture in front of the room. What suprised me alot was set of coffe and tea to brew them and small cakes bags. Additionally beside standard shower gel and small soap i got unseen before equipment: shavig set form man, tootbrush with toothpaste, and something named hygenic set. And a word for addicted to the Internet: Wifi was working perfect. So did cellular internet access.

The houses are in a nice and quiet place, next to the mountains. It is a bit hidden, when you come with the car, especially later in the evening. The entire property was very clean and very nicely set up with the pool, the houses/ flowers and sunbeds.

The owner is the best host ever. He waited for us for a long time, as our plane was late and we had a problem with the car rental, but did not complain at all. The fridge was full of food and beverages when we arrived. There was also a basket full of snacks on the table. He answered any questions we had in a very short time. We really felt like at home in his house. The pool was a lot of fun! The beaches were very close. He has a folder with pictures and information that was very helpful. He also had accessories for the beach (cooler bag, umbrella, beach toys etc). I would love to go back sometime in the future!

The beach is amazing, one of the most beautiful we've ever visited. Water is turquoise and sand is truly pink at the water's edge. Loved long walks, shore swims and the sand was amazing. Next to the beach is a conservation area that is really lovely and I enjoyed the walk! Walk across the relatively shallow water to the island to the right of the main beach. Get there early especially on weekends else all the lounge chairs will be taken! Do NOT park at the first parking lot as you enter town, the rates are MUCH higher than the $5 lot that comes next!

If you don’t stay overnight in the village and come by car,...

If you don’t stay overnight in the village and come by car, there are plenty of parking spots (3–5 € per day). The beach is beautiful — best to visit early in the morning (8–11) or later in the afternoon (16–19) when it’s less crowded. A small disadvantage is that there are only two tavernas nearby, and the mini market sells water at a higher price than elsewhere in Crete.

It's a nice beach and especially good if you are traveling...

It's a nice beach and especially good if you are traveling with young children since the water is shallow and warm. For my personal taste the main beach is too crowded and touristy and would prefer quieter more rugged beaches, but it was a great destination traveling as a family with a toddler because it was safe and clean and we were staying at a hotel within walking distance from the beach.

Great beach with varied water levels and temperatures from 20 to 30o C in the summer I’d say. Walk and swim around to find your perfect spot. The sand is wet in most of the places. A lot of nature but heavily visited especially on Mondays and Tuesdays from what it seemed to is during our stay. Two beach bars, two restaurants above, several room rental places, two supermarkets and some shops. Prices are a bit high from Crete, especially in the supermarkets, but still good options. The connection to Kissamos and Chaina is not bad, please not there is a new motorway section in the mountains that bypasses Topolia and its gorge tunnel that is not in Google maps yet.

Elafonissi beach is truly spectacular.

Elafonissi beach is truly spectacular. Definitely worth a visit. The beach is very crowded. The only alternative beach within a radius of 20 km has natural shade from trees (convenient in the wind). In case of wind, it is also quite crowded.

Elafonissi beach is beautiful but can get very crowded. Paddle over to the island for more secluded areas. It is well worth the effort The taverna at Elafonissi village is excellent value for food and drinks with friendly staff who never make you feel hurried

Best stay I had while in Chania and around, I felt very safe and welcome, the infrastructures were so clean and nice. Being a bit further of the well known beach turned out to be an advantage in the end! Maria will tell you plenty of tips and help you with any request if she’s able to. Also fun « Greek merch » if you just happen to stop by their restaurant (also very good!). I wish I knew about them sooner, I would have stayed longer, I was actually sad to leave and my next hotel did disappoint me after it!

Maria was a super nice host with a perfect communication. The place is loacted close to many beautiful beaches as White Lake or Voulolimni Beach which are also not crowded like Elafonisi beach. We lived in one of the two log cabins. The house offers everything needed for relaxing stay. Free bikes are also available to explore the area.

It’s about 12min from Elafonisi beach, has access to a lagoon with 8min walk. Free parking. The restaurants close by are very good. The balcony view is very beautiful specially on the first floor. There is a mini-market to get coffee or something eat since it’s not possible to prepare anything in house.

Location is amazing, closest you can get to Elafonisi beach and beautifully located inside the olive trees garden. The bungalows were very spacious with kitchen and terrace, you can get the food directly from the taverna!
