Since we booked the wrong room, we would have to stay in a room without a balcony. We expressed our desire to move to a higher room by paying the difference, but the hotel was completely full. Afterwards, thanks to a cancellation, they took us to a room with a balcony without demanding any payment, for which we especially thank all the friends on duty.

United KingdomThe location was perfect for us. The hotel is a 20 minute walk, 5 minute drive out Pithagorio town, which we wanted, so it was nice and peaceful with a beautiful view over the harbour. The hotel, gardens and pool area are incredibly well maintained, and have plenty of seating areas, sun beds and umbrellas for everyone. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.

It is a lovely village with much character.
It is a lovely village with much character. Calm and relaxing feel to the place. Great choice of places to eat and a good range of shops. Prices for food and drinks was reasonable.We visited in September and it was busy but not overly. We hired a car and visited some other sites on Samos. Prices were fair
Ferry from Kuşadası is direct so no taxi or transfer required.

This feels like a boutique slightly upmarket place. Very pretty and picturesque but crowded. People are friendly and helpful, though. The beaches are very small and totally full of umbrellas. Not very relaxing at all. But good links, busses, affordable taxis to main town and archaeological sites. Also a catamaran ferry service to other islands. Ikaria, for example, is doable as a day trip. Enjoy the buzz in Pythagora but find a relaxing beach elsewhere.

A vibrant harbour with tavernas along the waterfront. Option to walk or drive to ancient theatre and Tunnel of Eupalinos. Shopping is reasonably priced. Beaches are crystal clear. Enjoy the vibe! And don’t forget to check out The Secret Garden for a sneaky cocktail or two.

We have always enjoyed Pythagoria, having visited over a period of more than 20 years and would strongly recommend it. Great Restaurants.Easy access with Hire Car to spots like Kokkari, Manolates, Psili Amos , the Monastery and Tunnel

We came to visit the ancestral home of our family in Samos.
We came to visit the ancestral home of our family in Samos. Our Grandparents were from two other towns on the Island. We visited 8 spots on the Island and were completely convinced that staying in Pythagoreion was the best choice. It offered convenience, sights, food, and history beyond anywhere else on Samos. Although small, it packs a big wallop of enjoyment.

Pythagoroion is the place where the city of Samos was located in ancient times. The port of Pythagorion is the oldest man-made harbor. The old quay wall can still be found near the Hotel Tarsanas, from where the sacred path leads along the beach to the Temple of Hera in Ireon. Above the town there is an ancient amphitheater where events are still held. From the amphitheater, a path leads up to the Spigliani monastery with its cave chapel. Also from the amphitheater you can easily find the way to the Eupalinos Tunnel, the oldest tunnel that was carved into the rock by counter-boring. It ensured the water supply of ancient Samos.

Our room was clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was very filling and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly, helpful, and respectful. You can reach the city center by taxi for 10 euros or by a pleasant half-hour walk along the coast. The beach is clean and quiet, and the hotel is right on the seafront. If I go back to Samos, I'd choose this hotel. I thank Anna for preparing a wonderful surprise for us when I told her we were celebrating our anniversary. The hotel responded quickly to all our messages.

A really well run boutique style hotel. A lovely quiet and semi rural location with great walks from the hotel. Alex and Anastatia and Olga were all welcoming, friendly and professional. The whole place is immaculate. Very comfortable beds. Lovely views to the sea and Turkey beyond. We enjoyed "Mamas Plate" each evening for supper.
A real good find and definitely will return at some point.

We had a wonderful stay at Samaina Hotel!
The building is old, but the rooms are lovely and carefully decorated. We had a little balcony with the best view 😍
The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming - they greeted us with cake on arrival, helped with all of our questions and gave us handmade soaps when we left. Definitely coming back👍
